Ange got to keep his "second season" thing and a wedge of cash, we got a European cup, and now we go our separate ways. He looked really ill from the stress of being baffled as to why his approach wasn't working.

I take this point. Nevertheless, Levy has shown he cannot keep a manager like FSG did with Klopp or City did with Pep.

The fact that we are congratulating Levy for finally realising it is better to sack a trophy winner after a final is a bit backwards.

I wonder how long it will take him to realise you have to back them again after the final and not sell their best players, etc...

I think he will do better this year with what he has/we give him than what postecoglu could've done. He can set teams up to be hard to beat, he is tactically astute and pragmatic, he's a good man manager, though postecoglu may have him beat there. He's likeable, though I thought Ange was in the main too tbh.

If he is the successor. He will elevate us from 17th I'm sure of that. I don't see us losing 22 games in the league next year under him. He doesn't have the Europa to compare against postecoglu though.

Klopp and Pep never finished 17th or lost the number of games Ange did.

Most games Pep ever lost in a PL season is 9. Lowest finish? 3rd.
Most games Klopp ever lost in a PL season is 12 (in his first). Lowest finish was 8th in his first season. 5th after that.

Ange would have kept his job and probably got an extension with a top-half finish.

So what you're comparing there is crazy, crazy different. We gave Ange far more money and far more support than any other manager in the last 25 years.
 
sir alex lost 6-3 to southampton and lost 16 league games early on in his united career,but united stuck with him,and that my friends is how dynasties are created and rebuilds are done . anyone that thinks ange could turn around a decades long loser club with loser mentality and change the culture in two years is delusional ,anyone that thinks he should of continued to win every game with archie gray and ben davies as his center backs and no vicario is delusional .spurs will never ever win the league ,because the top players will prefer to go to barcelona,the two madrids ,Woolwich.city,liverpool,united,psg.bayern ,juve,napoli etc.

Ange is certainly not Ferguson. Best of luck supporting whatever 2nd division Austrian club Ange ends up at.
 
how dare Ange win a Euro trophy for spurs, does he not know that spurs are perennial losers and are not supposed to win anything. he sealed his own fate by winning something for a club that are losers.
