BINGO!

Sorry I was just playing a game of idiot bingo there, where you wait to spot the first moron to trot this out tonight and then yell BINGO.
Sorry but you need four in a row to yell Bingo. I can understand that you believe the same guy who told the whole world, "Sorry Mate, We won't change", would completely change his tactics to win The Europa. In that case I want him even less because he is a Bullshitter. And If you want to call people Idiots, that silver thing you have standing or hanging in your house somewhere (we call it a mirror), look into it, you'll see a Real Idiot. Believing, someone who managed a team with 22 league losses, belongs in the EPL as a manager, should be the definition of Idiocy

Shall we actually look at the managers who reached the CL places this season?

Slot - came straight from the Dutch league (won PL)
Arteta - Woolwich was his first managerial job
Pep - elite winner at the biggest clubs
Howe - promotions and relegations with Burnley and Bournemouth (won Carabao Cup)
Maresca - came from Leicester in the Championship (won Europa Conference League)

Nothing about Frank’s CV should cause any alarm when you look at those managers. He has consistently over-achieved and shown a lot of guile in the PL. It may not work out but he’s a perfectly sensible choice of manager. If Levy isn’t going to change his attitude to salaries then he’s probably the best fit we can find. He gets more out of less.

I just feel like Frank is an uninspired and safe choice, especially when you look at his CV.

You may be right in what you’re saying and I think he will be an improvement on Ange in the PL, there is no doubt about that.

But I just don’t see Frank as the manager who will capitalise on the success of us winning a trophy, we should be moving forward from here and using it as a platform for further success, it just feels like a sideward step, a safe step.

Just my opinion.

You bring up Conte but the players weren't inspired by him at all towards the end and wanted him gone. You bring up league position instead.

Then with Ange you make it about inspiration and not about the league position.
Towards the end being the key point here, before that Conte has those players humming, especially at the end of the season prior.

I am making it about league position with Ange?

I said our position in the league was not good enough and that’s why he deserved to be sacked but that it’s also true that part of the reason the players got over the line to win the EL was because of how he inspired them, many of our players are on record saying this.

The end is an important part, they couldn't stand him. So it's weird to bring him up when you seem to think it's important that the manager inspires the players when he was only able to do it for about 6 months. It doesn't mean much if you can't keep it up.

You aren't making it about league position with Ange, which is why I said "Then with Ange you make it about inspiration and not about the league position."

Are you brain dead or pretending to be a spastic? “He won’t win anything”… erm.
If you believe this Europa was the hight of winning something, I don't know. This is the problem. To some we Won something. To me it's a silver consolation prize. Same reason I can't believe people think we had a better season than Woolwich. How so? Did we beat Real Madrid, PSG or Bayern Munich ? Did we beat and team of substance.....? Didn't think so. But I guess You 'Brain Alive' people are ok playing in second rate competitions. If that's the case, sign me up for the 'Brain Dead' Brotherhood.

Of course they do. But when I point out that Ange didn’t even hit 40 points and lost 22 league games they go very quiet. People see the big shiny cup but don’t look at the bigger picture.
People that I know were stoked we won a trophy, but I guess they are small time fans then as they are not looking at the bigger picture like the bigger more informed fans like yourself do!

I just explained why it is also about league position with Ange and did so in my original post as well?

I bring Conte up because a manager with his experience who is PROPERLY backed and supported would indeed take us to another level.

But our owner has no interest in that and everybody knows it.

It is what it is until they receive a buy out offer they’re happy with.

Do you think bringing in a disruptive manager that clashes with the board is going to speed up the sell out? All it’s going to do is cause internal aggro until the manager is fired.

That’s not going to help us succeed next season.

Anything that disrupts them, makes them uncomfortable and hopefully threatens the bottom line when it comes to the final sale price.

If they see the value dropping, they’ll panic and push it through faster

Who is next?

Thomas Frank will be in par with Ange.
Poch will be a re-marriage which never works.
Then we have Silva , Iraloa and Glasner.
Not much CL experience really.

I would go for the PSG guy and give him loads of money to bring the PL to N17.

I bet Levy has a surprise in his sleeves.
So deluded it hurts my brain. You realise who you support right? Know our history? We've just sacked the best manager for us - the only direction we will be able to achieve now is more mediocrity which will come from a mid table manager.

Conte was at a Serie B club that just got promoted when he went to Juventus. Pep was at the Barca B team and Arteta had never managed before.

They got their big break because those clubs took a chance on them despite a lack of experience.
i think hes a good fit for us right now, hes got a team that are 19th in wages batting at 10th, hes a modern manager whos adaptable and hes premier league proven. i cant see right now how we can get better? whos out there?

anyone is a huge upgrade on what weve just had. theres no real standout guy right now, we tried the conte thing and it didnt work, frank might just be the right fit for us right now.

Media are a bunch of c@nts and will write whatever generates click bait shocker!

I’d pay very little attention to what’s written over the coming days, what’s genuine will probably be somewhere in the middle of the two extremes.
Surprised Nicolas Cage GIF

They got their big breaks because of their playing careers. Don’t be silly.

You think even the most amazing Barca B coach is getting the Barca job if they aren’t big time players?
