Hilarious that an ex manager who won us a European trophy is winding up so many supposed Spurs fans just by existing

The can't stop talking about him, he is literally living rent free in their empty heads

They couldn't even put aside their sheer hatred for him against our biggest rivals

Pitiful

Anyway

Let it go

Everyone has moved on
He’s not here anymore. He gave us the greatest night in the last 40 odd years. He also gave us nightmares with the league form. But he’s gone.

In years to come we will just remember the swashbuckling football that was phenomenal when it worked, whilst getting us the trophy.

Nobody will remember the league form really. Or care. People continuing to argue about it is so pointless.

What swash buckling football will anyone remember? That’s made up rubbish if people were to hark back to something that didn’t exist. There were a handful of games out of nearly a hundred games that we displayed anything like that type of football.

He’s as low down as Ramos for me and does anyone remember him in high esteem? No.

Not surprised at all by the result. He’s an overrated manager who was completely and utterly worked out by this league, attempting to run his outdated “style” with a squad that doesn’t suit it — see Murillo going off after only half an hour of it.

It’s a joke of an appointment that could’ve only been made by an unhinged lunatic like Marinakis. He’s a shit manager and an arrogant, thick cunt. Anyone who supports him is an idiot.

Ok.

Listen, I thought it was the right decision to let him go, but if you don’t remember some of the more exciting games where we attacked for fun I don’t know what to tell you.

But you carry on being annoyed about someone you clearly wanted gone, that is gone.

That, and the fact Ange has clearly only got this job because of the Greek connection.

It's not a merit appointment in the slightest.

Happy Premier League GIF by Tottenham Hotspur

I’m always up for all Ange criticism, but imo, as much as I’ve joined in on the jokes, the Murillo injury was just a ‘normal’ contact induced football injury. An occupational hazard.

A proper Ange injury for me is the type where it’s like the body breaking down from sheer overexertion and general negligence about how to manage it, like hamstrings, calves and muscular injuries etc. The kind where the body basically says ‘I’ve done this move/action at too high an intensity one too many times and now something had to give, so it’s this’.

TBF, the "exciting" games were the ones like Chelsea, which we lost, and were only exciting because they were totally, utterly, and completely representative of how a rookie would manage - like some weird Sherwood-esq 'maverick' stuff.

I think we had more exciting games under Mourinho

I said there was a handful. So clearly I do remember some. But there wasn’t lots of swashbuckling football. That’s simply untrue.

I’m not annoyed anyway. I’m enjoying the fact he will get exposed this season at Forest and shatter any illusion left by some that he was unlucky or any other excuse that was made for him.

Going to get a lot of “told you so” on here after today’s result, massively disregarding the fact that there is a massive difference in the strengths of both sides. Is there a world where anyone expects Forest to go to that lot and get a result? Very unlikely.

And the “told you so” posts will undoubtedly come from those who said we’d fail to get past Frankfurt, then fail to win the Europa, then insist Ange had no chance at another top league job.

Maybe give him a wee while longer in the role before anyone can claim to be proved correct or not.

I liked and still do like the man, but I’m fucked if I can remember much swashbuckling football. Was all a bit of a dirge, or just abject confusion most of the time to my recollection.

Mark my words, Forest will be the next prime example of an owner running a club into the ground purely because of his own ego, hubris and "sense of power" rather than a misguided attempt to benefit the club in any way.

As bad as ENIC have been for us at times, I've never got the sense they've done these things personally, any issues we've had have been down to incompetence rather than spite as far as I'm concerned.

There is zero footballing reason to sack a manager who had them challenging for Champions League qualification last season simply because he "fell out" with him in favour of a guy who was a rival club's worst manager domestically for decades.

No owner with a proper care for the club they run would publicly confront the manager on the pitch after a poor performance or hell, even in front of the players in the dressing room.

I fully expect Marinakis to be to Forest what Chanseri has been to Sheff Wed, it might not happen right away, but I believe it will happen.

The people I feel the most sorry for are Forest fans, with what they've been through for years they don't deserve shit like this.
