Okay...which one of you is this on the Forest forum? Weird existence following Ange about.

A. Trialist

A new fan here, yes because of Ange. I’m stoked he’s been given another opportunity at such a storied club. I may be divorced by seasons end as the missus is sick of me watching games at ungodly hours, or taking over the TV first thing in the morning to watch a replay before I hear the scores. And fwiw, I do believe the squad, club and supporters are a much better fit for Ange. Also I must say reading the forum here you’re a much nicer mob than that Spurs lot. So much name calling and personal attacks on their forum. Good luck and let’s celebrate another European trophy this season.

He made no effort to change with us apart from a binary defensive approach for a few games. He’ll need to be much more adaptable and capable of a measured compromise to survive the league with a Forest squad mea aging CL for the first time…

Part of me would like him to succeed because I don’t like to hate on people…the rest of me wants him to be found out again for all the horror of watching so many awful games. And, yes, for me, even the trophy’s a little tainted because it was off the back of such an awful league season.
It's good that he's getting this chance. If he didn't, we would have people arguing about whether his system could work for years to come. This way we get to find out.

Wtf was ange thinking going there? Like i used to think he was just a regular type guy and he'd see a mile off what kind of person marinakis is and how difficult it would be to better what nuno done. But he didnt, he took the job lol.

As soon as forest start playing ange ball, they will get pumped week after week and he will be gone, looking like an idiot.

There aren't enough teams in the league that a mid-table team like Forest can steamroll through sheer quality, which seems to be the main prerequisite for an Ange team to win games.

Even during his first season, with a team of Spurs' caliber, he was having issues with the Bournemouths and Fulhams and Brightons of the world, let alone the big dogs. And now he has moved down the food chain.

Moyes, Dyche, Nuno and the like have made their names as mid-table/bottom half specialists through their ability to get results against the higher ups, on occasions at least, by whatever means necessary.

How's he going to do that exactly? A few EL games cannot act as precedents here, as he was still going against lesser teams on those occasions.

At this point I'd imagine it's just money.

Spurs was his big payday but it didn't last long. Probably made fuck all for most of his career until that point in tinpot leagues and now only has a handful of years left. Trying to make up for lost time and set up his family for generations.

No one pays like prem clubs unless he could have got a move to Saudi but maybe there was no interest there.

Two Greeks, hardly a footballing nation, on the top of the footballing world were always going to stand shoulder to shoulder. Their close friendship might actually be superfluous in explaining this appointment.

Also wouldn't be surprised if Marinakis gave him way more leeway than he did Nuno, and others before him.

Wait and see, exactly. FWIW, I think he’s mental going there as I don’t think he’s got a chance to capture the form of Forest last season.

Pains me to say it, but if I were him, I’d have waited for West Ham to come up. The only way is up there.
Unless it's down as in relegation which let's be honest given Ange's previous wouldn't be a surprise.

Wishing he fails tbh! I honestly think we won the cup in spite of him rather than because. For all his talk about principles etc etc he didn’t use any of those to win the final or even get there.

Forest are a horrid club so I hope it goes really really bad for them and they tumble down the league.

Reading online that there fans are already wanting MGW out the club or benched. That’s what happens when you supposedly use some nasty tactics in order to get him to stay

I’m sorry, but if I ever see a new “fan” join my club because of the manager, then you shouldn’t be welcome. End of.

Fickle as fuck. Fucking weirdo.

I don't know how much Sullivan, Gold and Brady got for Upton Park, and the deal they cut for their running track, but it wasn't worth it.

What a souless exchange they made.

That deal was all about selling their soul.

Terrible atmostphere, for a game of top level football.

Will he make it to the new year?

"This is not a project," Postecoglou told reporters.

"This football club had a strong season last year, they need to be stronger this year, and my job is to get us to where I want us as quickly as possible.

"On Wednesday night [Thursday AEST], we will start seeing principles being embedded. It won't take long and I will not let it take long.

"I will make sure we turn it around because we have an unbelievable opportunity to make an impact this season, and I am not going to let that slip.
