Under Nuno maybe but not Ange, stronger than them:

Roma
Villa
Porto
Lyon

On a par:

Celtic
Rangers
Feyenoord

I think they struggle from the quarters and I do t see them winning it. Think Villa might though despite their poor start

Simon Jordan said that the players got fed up with him and didn't want to play for him anymore, it was a player led revolt to Levy...certainly more plausible than compensation.

Should have done it after the final. The timing was bizarre and that is putting it lightly. You either sack Jose months before to save the league or sack him after the cup final when he might have bus parked a cup.

Forest are way better than Celtic, Rangers and Feyenoord and they have beter squads than the four you mentioned although they don't have that European experience needed.

I’ll be blaming him regardless

It's okay the bald bad man has gone now

New Nottingham Forest boss Ange Postecoglou has targeted EFL Cup glory.

The League Cup was the last major honour the club won in 1990 and they go to Swansea City in the third round on Wednesday.

Postecoglou and owner Evangelos Marinakis have been clear he is at the club to win silverware and that quest for Forest starts at the Liberty Stadium.

"I think so, yes [it is a chance to win a trophy]. I got to the semi-finals last year [with Tottenham, losing 4-1 on aggregate to Liverpool]," he said.

"Every opportunity you have to win a trophy, you shouldn't let it go. It's hard to win things, especially when you're at a club that has had success in the past and the supporters want more of it.

"We'll give ourselves every opportunity to have a win.

"In the context of the club's ambitions, where we are in terms of the season with me coming in, it's a great opportunity for us to implement some things we want to. It's an important game."
Looking forward to his next presser where he downplays the importance of it.

Agreed.

I think most of the criticism of him is fair, the leaky defence, poor game management etc...*

But I just dont understand the vitriol, and the glee with which people are watching him lose with.

And I say that as someone who doesnt particularly like him as a character either.

*Had an odd £1 sitting in the betting app last night, when swansea went 1-2 I stuck it on them to win. £20 won. It was just obvious it was going to happen...

I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it's a direct reaction to being told for 2 years by his fanbois how great he is.
Especially the Aussie nomads who don't support teams, they support him.
They're no doubt currently infesting Forest forums and shouting at Forest fans about how great he is.

When you consider the profile of the likes of Mourinho and Conte, 2 coaches who have won the biggest prizes at the highest level, even they didn't have such a mental, irrational following.
I have never seen anything quite like it and I hope I never do again.
