I'd say the person who has learning difficulties comes into a thread he hates to feel purposely offended at the posts, that's the very definition of performative outrage. :frankfacepalm:

No but you must see he totally prioritised the Europa. We could never fight on more than one front, he chose the path he thought we had a chance of winning and he did... however, do I want him back, no

When you say "prioritised the Europa", there weren't any Europa games here (in this run) until 23rd and 30th Jan, and they were group stage

On the 6 march we lost the first leg of the last 16

The whole "prioritised the Europa" is such a weak and fictional, retrospective excuse for absolutely awful league performances at a time when we had no sight of a EL Final.

It's about as water-tight as suggesting we're prioritising the CL by losing all these games right now

So you were happy with the league last year?
Honestly this question bores me to death... No much difference if we finished 9th or 17th WHEN we won the Europa that got us in to the fucking CL. A trophy and a ticket to more revenue in CL - wet dreams even the scum would love.

Losing a few millions in league standings is only a bigger issue for ENIC NOW because we are in for possibly another 14th to 17th league position WITH no trophy AND paying severance package for maybe sacking Frank as well.

I really find the execs running our club unusually stupid.

Been said that we done that by Romero and Va De Ven, we fucked it off towards the end of the season.

It was entirely justified as well seeing as we ended up winning a trophy so...

If your first thought after yet another shite defeat is gleefully trying to start up a cunt off for your own pleasure then you're not Spurs, you're a WUM and should probably fuck off.

Towards the end of the season yes - maybe QF or SF time you could justify it.

But the rhetoric that he decided in December to plunge us into relegation form intentionally lacks all credibility, and is such a stretch for anyone to suggest.

The fact that we currently have league form with performances that justify an immediate dismissal is by no means a new phenomenon this season, or the 2nd half of last season, or the second half of the first half of last season - nothing to support that being unique to this season, if it's being suggested

You're arguing with trolls not Spurs fans. I wouldn't bother.

Where did this come from?

Where did this come from?

People use it as a response to the league position of last year.

This was the PL and EL laid out in chronological order, starting with the QF as the earliest credible point where someone could say "we're going for it"

image-2026-01-17-175535524.png

As can be seen, we got 1 point from a possible 21 (!) in the league between the first leg of the QF to the end of the season.
If someone wants to stretch and say that, somehow, we decided not to try in those games then right, you do you kinda thing. (even though a year previous, the manager said he couldn't possibly imagine not wanting to win every game, no matter what, and you aren't a real fan if you took that view)

So, prior to the QF, we had 11 wins, 4 draws, 16 losses for 37 points from 31 games in the league (1.19 ppg) in 14th place. We currently have 27 points from 22 games (1.22 ppg)

So, prior to even the point where we could make the excuse of "prioritising the EL" with any credibility, we were just a shit, if not more, as we are now.

That isn't in any way a defence of Frank, but simply a retort to the idea that we didn't see this exact same league form last season

TLDR: We didn't finish 17th because we focused on the Europa, unless the alternative was we would have probably finished 15th instead of something

Oh yeah we were shit for the majority of the season under him and he was doing a bad job but from the Frankfurt match onwards we totally downed tools, was a very weird season.

That's the thing - you can go back to any match from around November onwards and the same arguments for the players were being made then (not sure on here, but certainly on reddit etc) with people saying they were trying to get the manager sacked, looked lost, didn't look coached, had no idea who to pass to, were making up their own tactics and going against the all-out-attack etc.

The issue I have is people pissing in our pockets and saying its raining, by suggesting that we didn't see what we're seeing now in almost every match.

The answer to our problems wouldn't be to get a motivational speaker in, nor does it appear that a 'genius coach' is, either. We need someone like Roy Keane at 54 years old to bet Vicario he can save more shots that him, fuck Muani off to PL2 if not PSG, tell the club to accept what they can get for Tel, and do a cleanse. They need the shits putting up them, not a whatsapp group with 'the boss'

All in all though I''m taking the 'Auusie clown' every day of the week over the joker we have now.
