But it's fun taking the piss pointing out their lunatic takes.

The best part is all they have is lies, distortions and diminishing a Spurs European Trophy win.

Shooting fish in a barrel.

Yeah this thread is a laugh tbh, amazed that people genuinely still get angry and still have the energy to twist comments and do everything to put him down when it should make 0 difference to their lives lol

When you behave as despicably as these people did last year it fractures part of the soul and the psyche.

They could easily be healed just by a simple acceptance of their bad behaviour and an apology but they aren't capable of that so all that's left is doubling down.

And that creates the doom spiral we've been watching all season. It's morbidly fascinating.

You could tell they were absolutely fuming when he lifted that trophy, It was everything they feared becoming reality in that exact moment.

The truth is their online ego means more to them than actually seeing their club win. They’d rather be proven right on the internet than experience the discomfort of watching their own club succeed in a way they didn’t predict.

Very sad.

Think this is a fair enough take.

As for the Overlap - they are never going to be Jeremy Paxman - no one would ever go on if they were. But they get good stuff.

Granted it isn't going to be "louis theroux investigates..." but you do wonder what the real 'point' is in the interviews if there's nothing really new being brought up

Rooney is interesting when he's on it because he brings up stuff we've not really had insight of. The Ange one didn't really tell us anything we didn't already hear several times over during his time here (there were a lot of articles about his origins, puskas, socceroos etc)

If Neville wasn't such a bumlicker he could have asked more about how it was working with Levy, how transfers worked, if he felt the team were behind him, brought up some stuff from Mickey's interview more etc

I don’t believe that for a second!

What prompts the back and forth is the extreme views of each side.

Ange needed to go for the league position alone. It’s a view I share, but it didn’t take away any enjoyment I had from the cup win and the parade day etc. and I think that’s likely the same for everyone that wanted Ange out.

And of course the projection as they ascribe all the attributes to Postecoglou that they themselves act out to Spurs fans on here is... it's almost a fucking cliche how predictable they all are. In TV we'd call that "on the nose". :D

Wonder Thomas Frank will do the show and talk about his "free floating " football, losing the dressing room immediately and being all round the worst manager in Tottenham premier league history

That would be a great watch :franklol:

The former in bold was covered in the first interview, and the latter was covered in this interview tbf

Perhaps not in as much detail as we would have liked but it's not a forensic dissection. Otherwise who would go on it?

I’m not making it about me. I’m saying I don’t believe any true Spurs fan would have been gutted he was lifting the trophy and would have been happier losing to prove a point.

That’s a bonkers take!

Or are you just stirring the pot again?! 😁

Well here's the thing...

I used to be indifferent when Ange left. I didn’t hate him and I was neutral on him coming back or not. I could see both sides.

But I lose all respect for the man when he sat down with Neville and those clowns. They completely killed him every chance they could and talked down on him every week.

He acts like the tough guy but when asked, he turns into a yes man and goes on the pod just to appease the people who mocked him.

Don’t give a fuck with what anyone else says about it but I really enjoyed the interview. I have no ill feelings towards the guy who was our manager when we won a European trophy. Some try downplay that but it’s now in our history. I’m glad we sacked him though and even more glad we sacked Frank. I could listen to Ange all day whereas I couldn’t listen to Frank for 30 seconds.

This is about where 85% of "normal" Spurs fans land, I reckon.

Neville asks those questions in the follow up interview
