That's the hilarious thing. This season is being heralded as if it proves that sacking him was wrong, but we'd still need to lose every game left in the season to get the same amount of losses as he did last season.

The only real difference between the two seasons, league wise, is that the bottom 3 aren't as crap this season
We did win 11 games last season, I don't think we will get near that this season.

Nah, NOT losing 22 games is worth more for some people. We had 11 games won by this same time last season, at 37 points compared to 7 games won and 30 points now. I hate to say this in forum, but (since some people disliking Ange so much and couldn't stop hurling insults at him, why should I not do the same) these same people are incredibly stupid to hold onto the 22 losses and fight their argument. I bet if we go the entire season drawing 38 matches and got 38 points, these people will celebrate on the street because there are 0 losses. Dimwits.

The players were programmed by this fat oaf to lose over a whole season.

When the inevitable long term consequence occurs -- which was warned about! -- it's blamed on the manager/s who have had to follow his fat arse here to work with the puddle of a mentality he left the players with.

Then, to cement their status as absolute whack-jobs, the same people are now saying that keeping the fat fool who is the sole cause for our mangled mindset would have been the right move.

So he could do this:

Fucking crackpots.

You fuckers deserve the championship.
You went on and on and were doing cartwheels when frank was appointed, who is your next recommendation Wilfried Nancy…..

Well yes, getting spanked 22 times in one season is not a celebration.

Having 37 points by now resulted in an overall 38 points for the season - 1 point per game.

We currently have 30 points from 31 games - 0.98 points per game.

Forgive us for not getting weak at the knees over 0.02 points per game

Lol. 22 losses. We probably won't be getting 22 losses this season, (I hope not, but if we lost all the remaining 7 games, we could) but we likely won't be getting 7 points from now till end of season too.

And for those who couldn't work out the math, we could well be in a lower point haul than last season.

BTW, some of our fans are really such loser mentality. So bang on about 22 losses when they couldn't even see through our current plight of 7 wins and 9 draws is even shittier.

Give me 24 losses all day if we can have 13 wins and 1 draw this season.

Ffs.

Some posters on here have a fixation with the word "17th".
every second post contains the word "17th".

Personally, I like the acronym "BBA".

Bring Back Ange
There is still time to turn this shit show around

Maybe if we'd have hired Carrick and United hired Frank things would have been different.

Perhaps some managers can break the psychology of poor form better than others.

Or maybe United have much more talent in their squad - boosted by adding 3 quality forwards in Summer and not selling Bruno (their equivalent of Son) - and didn't suffer another year of ruinous injuries (they also had an injury crisis in 2024/25).

That seems like a more rational straightforward answer than the "it were Postycoglou all along" scooby do rubbish peddled by derangers, doesn't it?

Fucking close this thread and throw it in the fucking sea tbh.

No. His two years are a fucking sunlit uplands compared to what we have now and we have a Trophy to remember as we sink into the Championship because we listened to derangers.

Just because this thread reminds you of how catastrophically wrong you were about literally everything doesn't mean the rest of us can't reminisce about when we had a manager who managed to squeeze 5th and a trophy out of this shambles of a squad.

IIRC they had a poor start to this season until Carrick took over, otherwise they wouldn't have sacked their manager if it was just down to bringing in some summer transfers etc.

It's not me that wanted to compare Frank to Carrick, two managers replacing managers that lost a lot.

I'm just giving a rational explanation that perhaps Carrick is a better fixer than Frank, maybe you disagree, I don't care, I don't really care about Manchester United at all.

United were 6th when Amorim was sacked.

Yes Carrick has made a difference. You'd expect that given they have a much much more talented squad than ours and few injuries.

Well you've answered marxoulis marxoulis question then why Carrick has been successful following a manager that lost a lot, and Frank not.

European Trophy winning Managers for Spurs.

Bill Nicholson.

Keith Burkinshaw*.

Ange Postecoglou.

Of course this thread won't disappear.

*Burkinshaw took us down in 77.

They won it when it was a hell of a lot harder to win than this pathetic iterarion of the competition. The literal dregs of Europe to the point that two teams at the arse end of the prem both made a final.

Minus Son and Maddison & with this years league we would’ve been relegated last season. 16 goals and assists for Maddison in the league, 16 for Son. All you’re seeing is what happens when you take 32 goals out a team and replace it with a guy who can’t adapt to England and Kolo fucking Miami.
