I think in our case, it was Levy.

The rot started when he didn't back Poch for 3 windows before the CL final.

With only Moura being the first team player coming in.

But it's certainly the case that Ange did have a say in the issues that we see today.

His 2nd season was an abomination. Yes, he won a cup, and for that I am greatful, but everything around it was a cluster fuck of epic proportions.

But yeah, he didn't help things at all.

Biggest fuck up of all is not sacking OR backing Ange in summer 2024.
Solanke and some teenagers signalled there was no faith in him. If there was no faith then he should have gone.

The biggest fuck up was flip flopping between styles of football.

Attacking defensive attacking defensive...

This killed our identity and left us with a Frankenstein team, with lots of attacking players, and Levy goes and hires Frank who is fecking negative and safe.

If we had gone for a attack minded manager, who wasn't stubborn like Ange, who knew the importance of a strong defence even in an attacking, we would have been fine, I think.

IMO and clearly they overestimated his ability in what he was doing and what he was about.

They thought he would be able to carry on his huge success of the first season all the while bedding the youth and valuable assets they bought.

The real mistake was sacking him and not backing him with experience and proven players after this approach had showed the obvious weakness's that it can bring.

Rather the focusing on the positives and building, we decided to hyperfocus on the negatives.

Our board and owners aren't alone in this WRONG approach, as half of our fanbase were also keen to join in on this NEGATIVITY.

What's wrong is the approach, leadership and overall opinion of what was being achieved. It was our chance to build... But the less inclined and able both running And supporting our club had otherwise in mind and HERE we find ourselves.

Under Poch.
5/3/2/3/4

Post Poch pre -Ange. (With Harry Kane)
6/7/4/8
Comfortable top 8 side right there.
(Average of 6th though).

Ange first season (no Harry Kane)
5th So he still bettered that average.

And then did something not one manager had delivered since 1984.

Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur!!

Yawn. He had one good league season where we fell off a cliff at the end and barely clung on to that position. When he did that, it was all about the league. We were awful in the cups.

Then he continued falling off a cliff second season and we finished 17th. But he won a cup, and then it became all about winning a cup and the league didn’t matter.

This is why it is pointless arguing with fanboys. Without even going in to his subsequent failure to win a game at Forest who have done us 6-0 on aggregate this season without that particular millstone round their neck.

He’s not a good coach. His winning of a cup gives him cult status akin to Ramos but that’s it. Look at who would hire him post-Spurs - a relegation threatened outfit because they had a Greek owner. Nobody rates him as much as you fanboys do, nobody serious agrees with you.

Now he failed at them, I doubt he will see serious football again, no matter how much he begs for it on Sky. The perception of this man at the top level of football is not of a winner or a serious coach, or he’d have had clubs lining up to bring him in after our so called “mistake” of sacking this mega winner. Nobody did.

Notice how he ignored the league position of season 2 in his post....

Whilst also ignoring number of games lost in a season, which is a club record.

They just can't be honest, always spin, lies, and manipulation.

Tragic.

Seasons with European football are not comparable to seasons without European football. This is fairly obvious for any team not just ours.

It’s pointless. It’s like arguing with a 12 year old on twitter with Ronaldo in his profile picture. It is nothing but fanboyism.

We had a reasonably good first league season with one game a week which fell apart at the end. He was never able to repair the falling apart or progress any part of the way we played from around month 3 of his tenure. We peaked early. We also went out of all domestic cups straight away that season, but nobody mentions that when talking about how much of a “winner” Ange is.

People can blame the squad all they want, he continued failing at Forest with a very different squad. He’s just not very good.

I see the Derangers have gone from:

"Any half-decent coach will have us flying up the table..."

To:

"Pretty please Mr De Zerbi sign this five year contract and take this 15 million quid bonus because we're 1 point from relegation and haven't won a game in four months..."

And STILL they flap their little mothy wings over to this thread to immolate themselves in the cleansing fire of the Great Man 😍

Can there be any greater tribute? :D

I'm sure the founders of this forum who include paid advertisement are overtly keen to freeze their most profitable thread that's ever existed on this platform...

Grow a pair and deal with it. Ange was pure cinema and so is this page. The only one's who couldn't deal with his aura are the same one's who hate on him for no reason, and privately enjoy having their testies clamped whilst being vigorsly seen to by their "partners" whilst they wear furry costumes and being led around on a leash.

There is no middle ground on this. This is 100% accurate.
Fuck up you bell end.

Who will be after him in the summer then when we don’t rehire him.

Inter Milan, Barcelona, Madrid maybe? Could it be a return to the league with Man City if Pep goes perhaps?!

I mean, if it’s so obvious that he’s a Great Man and an amazing manager, the powers that be in the sport will agree, right?

At the very least, the middle of the pack clubs should be lining up outside the door to hire him. It beggars belief he ended up settling for the Nottingham Forest job and being sacked in record time.

The reality is - the reputation YOU think he has doesn’t match the reputation he actually has in football. You view him as an overachiever and objective success at Spurs, the football world does not.

Eh? He's doesn't have to do anything for the rest of his life and he'll always be the Great Man who reminded Spurs that they can actually play football after the atrocity of the Mournho-Nuno/Conte/Stellini/Mason years.

And then, of course, there's this:

View: https://x.com/TottenhamTiers/status/1931016375071387761

And the 5000 pages in this thread just cements his status as living legend. 😍

The issue is, of course, that Derangers didn't listen when they were warned that sacking him wasn't going to magically fix everything, and, in fact, could make things worse.

Narrator: "Things got worse. Much much worse"

And every moth that burns themselves in the cleansing fire of this thread just continues to add to the myth and legend of the Great Man. 😍:D

Yeah a bunch of emotional waffle. I didn’t ask whether he will continue to get North Korean level propaganda and worship from you lot, I asked which rational football people in charge of actual operations agree with you and will be considering him.

Given he’s made it clear he wants to work, he shouldn’t find it hard to get a top job.
