I was replying to the insufferably boring CJJ who claimed people don't go on about/celebrate Poch finishing 2nd and reaching a CL final - when in fact a majority of Spurs fans have done nothing but that since he was sacked - and then try reading and understanding the bit in bold:

Lol all Spurs fans talked about for the entirety of the 2020's was that Poch got us to 2nd and a CL Final. And rightly so - it was the best period for Spurs fans in modern memory. And ever since a majority have been pining for him to return.

Postecoglou gave us a fucking Trophy that will exist in the history books forever. And hardly anyone wants him to come back. What's weird is Derangers being angry and bitter about an accomplishment that should bring them happiness.

The point about Postecioglou was simply that he won an actual Trophy yet hardly anyone - including myself - wants him back.

The bit you Derangers are incapable of understanding is that normal Spurs fans appreciate the Trophy and feel good will towards the manager who won it for us. That's it. It really is that simple. But you can't accept that so you bring your hate and bitterness in here for god only know what reasons.

Fair enough. Mostly this thread is just for those who like to reminisce about when Spurs used to win things and stay up.

Problem is the same people who claim they just want to "move along" keep coming in here and kicking it off again - a la poor old Skippa18 .

I am comfortable in my assessment he was one of the worst Spurs managers in history and nothing since has changed my mind, it's validated my assessment (Forest stint).

If this thread was all about me, why does it grow by 50 pages when I am not even participating? Are all you cultists just talking to yourself? Wouldn't surprise me.

Ange is one of our worst managers in history. We lost 22 league games in a PL season and finidhed 17th. Historically bad,that's not just opinion that's fact. Ramos also won a trophy, he's also one of the worst in our history. Now take it on the chin and move on.

Postecoglou took over when we were at the lowest ebb since Poch was sacked. 4 years and 4/5 managers (interims included) of absolute anti-football dross summed up by the Newcastle thrashing.

Once Postecoglou got his hands on the team we came out playing breath-taking football - until injuries wrecked everything. And then in the second season when injuries wrecked everything even worse - he still found a way to win our first European Trophy in 40 years - with his team, his players. All of whom adore him - and our new Manager wants to emulate.

Dude has been gone for about a year now and people are still arguing about his attributes and the team's performance under him. It started well, injuries plagued his tenure, his tactical nous was highly questionable, he binned off the league for a trophy, got binned. End of. Deranger arrogance knows no limit. It's because many of them are just bullies and like all bullies they try to enforce rules of engagement on their own terms ie: "Just move on! Unless you refuse to accept my deranged opinion in which case I refuse to move on"
