Klopp spent what we have done this season on two players, that is the difference. We spent on 'potential' Klopp spent on here and now quality player something we haven't done possibly since the days of Ardiles, Gazza, Lineker, or Klinsmann possibly Toby.

Levy lucked out with Kane.

We heard that Barca were after Bergvall, yet he can't get a start against Everton or Leicester?

The media drooling over Ange, his funny press conferences and gung-ho never seen before tactics are all click bait gold for the reporters, but unfortunately what most fans are seeing is possession based, going nowhere, no end product football.

It's really no different than under Jose, or Conte, the football is just being played further up the pitch.
Well said

I've gone next five games. I think he needs to demonstrate he can flex his system depending on the situation but I have the strong feeling he just won't. I also don't believe we will win anything this year with the current system, unless we have some tremendous luck, the CL clubs play all kids, etc.

Edit - the poll results are taking on a Brexit 48:52 type of appearance. 🤣

Ange says that he normally wins something in his 2nd season. If thats the case he can stay until we are knocked out of every competition. At that point, whenever that is, he will have to go.

Changing the manager now or even in a few months time will not make a significant difference. Actually a spell around the bottom half of the table will teach Levy a lesson about the need and importance of buying top class attacking talent.

We’re going to win fuck all with Ange and top four atm is a joke!

Get rid now before the Coventry game!

I’ve had enough of this shite since the Chelscum game last year which made us a laughing stock of the PL because he was too stubborn to change things!

Go for Iraola as priority!

I’ll drive down to Bournemouth and pick him up if you want!

25 years and one constant, ENIC

Sacking Ange just gives them something to hide behind yet again, don’t fall for it

Ange is the right man to take us forward in my opinion, he has the right attitude for it and wants to change the club culture

Agree with you on Enic but, if Levy isn't going anywhere, all we have is the hope that he can hire a miracle coach. If Ange isn't that, then on to the next.

I don't think Ange is the guy, he's not a young coach who is going to develop his ideas, he is older and set in his ways. Outside of the ten game novelty run, it's not really working. If we are struggling in the next five to six games, I wouldn't be upset if Levy pulled the trigger.

Maybe he can turn it around but I just don't see it. We aren't a good team in either penalty box and that never goes well.

Finish the season. I don't want any caretakers taking over in March. He's got fuck all chance of helping us win the PL so maybe we get to squash some minnows and have a lucky final in a cup competition. That way he etches his name proudly in our history books and gets to keep his ego intact. Because I like the guy.

I think it's important to understand that Levy has no intention of challenging for the PL. He is an overly-cautious, ponderous, strangely naive fellow in many ways and Ange will not succeed at the top of the game with him as his overlord. And Ange - an almost 60 year old grump who is very set in his ways - is not flexible or adaptable enough a manager to work his way up there with what he's been given (and presumably ok'd). Tbh, I doubt there's a manager out there who would be able to spin gold with some of the players we've got, so what's the point of ditching Ange right now just to hope to hover around top 7 under whoever else would be mad enough to want to put their hands on the tiller?

Ange is not finally the problem in our quest for PL or CL glory. It's Levy.

Despite starting the league season with a nine-match winless streak, nobody panicked, least of all Iraola. Staff talk of a character with unwavering belief in his formula

Bournemouth did not win a league game until last October but their slow start prompted Iraola to exaggerate his methods. “In Spain we were a very, very aggressive team, a very high press, but we had to be even more aggressive because the standards here are really high. Every team is really pushing to recover the ball as high as they can. We had to reinforce our message, take even more risks, play with an even higher line because otherwise we couldn’t really make a difference. When I’m on the bench and everyone is in a low block, really compact, 10 players behind the ball, I don’t feel very comfortable.”

.......
.......

Not sure he is that different to Ange tbh

Managers obsessed with high pressure and high lines......... I'd rather have a coach much more flexible both in formations and tactics. A team that can also effectively transition on the break, it's ok not to have possession all the time.

We will continue to lose every game we're expected to lose with him it seems. No blagging a win against better opposition anymore, barely worth watching those games.

We will win most games against bottom half sides which is fine but ultimately par for course.

With our upcoming fixtures until 4th January, it's hard to see beyond the following results;
Win Brentford (H)
Lose United (A)
Draw Brighton (A)
Lose West Ham (H)
Win Palace (A)
Draw Villa (H)
Win Ipswich (H)
Lose City (A)
Win Fulham (H)
Win Bournemouth (A)
Lose Chelsea (H)
Win Southampton (A)
Lose Liverpool (H)
Win Forest (A)
Draw Wolves (H)
Lose Newcastle (H)

This would give us 28 points from 20 games. On track for 56 points, mid table.
If this were the case I would sack him by the Newcastle game at the latest, after a home West Ham defeat at the earliest.
Why just the PL results? If we are still in the League cup and in line to qualify in the Europa he should keep his job. Last season MU finished 8th and despite all the media predictions the Manager would be sacked, they won the FACup and kept him. Winning a trophy is not easy but would save his job.

On the basis the last two times it took us ages to replace the last bloke and that both searches were a shit show of managers turning us down and us shifting from one to another I really don’t think we have the ability to confidently pick another manager anyway. Surely nobody has forgotten those searches already?

I’d absolutely give him this season. If we get rid now, then we will be stuck with the waterboy until Xmas because of the fucking around in “selecting” the next mug- who probably won’t be first choice anyway.
Can’t be arsed with another managerial merry go round particularly so early in the season with new signings yet to be tried out and bedded in.
Yesterday was an unacceptable performance on every level, and it’s the one we really want to win every year.
But I think he still needs time, because Southgate is currently out of work.
Be careful what you wish for…

I would give him the until the end of the year and evaluate then. I think it’s too early to get rid, and there isn’t amazing alternatives (Tuchel? No thanks). If we bomb out of the cups I would change my stance to ASAP.

Tucel is an outstanding Manager, multiple trophy winner and plays very good football. He took Chelsea to four of their five finals when he was Manager.

I don't know who fans expect us to get, but if they don't fancy a serial winner of the modern game then perhaps Scott Parker or fat boy Rooney would be their preference?

I put end of season.

I've lost a bit of respect lately over his interviews. I really can't see why he's not changing, what to fans, seems obvious. We're not moving forward as a team. Sacking him now will only put us backward further. The best managers aren't really available mid season.
