He has to be seen as competition for Vicario otherwise it’s bad squad management. Reports are saying he is fighting for number 1 spot so that is positive. Can’t say I’ve seen him play before, but I hadn’t seen Vicario before he joined either.

This guy may be great but its another non-HG spot taken up by a GK that will barely play if Vic is still the Number 1. This "competition" stuff for keepers is bollocks, tell me one other club that plays the "form" keeper in league games instead of the established number 1 (apart from enforced through injury / suspension)

Example : Kelleher was Pool's yoof goalie and came in, did fantastically well at a good age, now Alisson is back and fit- thats it. Number 1 back in, no question about it.

Well Alisson is the best keeper in the world of course he gets straight back in. Vic definitely has weaknesses and his place is not set in stone.

Levy after seeing Austin play today

Both contracts end at the end of the season.

Austin got a new contract in the summer until 2029 so he seems content being the third keeper/fighting for the back up role.

I think that it is fair to say that Fraser and Alfie are moving on.
I’d be inclined to let them both go on a free this month if there’s any takers.

Use Gunter as third choice until Vicario returns.

I wonder if one of the advantages of having Kinsky in the squad as an alternative to Vicario is it allows Spurs to send Brandon Austin out on loan to gain experience - his last loan was to MLS in 2021 and he's only played a total of about 20 games in a professional league.

A good loan might allow him to double the number of professional games even in 2nd half of this season and it then makes his role as a 2nd or 3rd CT GK more credible.

We have a few decent u21 players out of the academy who are 'List B' for uefa squads (ie extra to usual EL squads) who might well become CT in time - Will Lankshear, Mikey Moore and those on loan including Alfie Devine, Jamie Donley, George Abbott et al.so Austin's CT status starts to become less crucial.

Worth remembering as well 21 year old Josh Keeley who is having a great season at L1 Leyton Orient, - probably needs another season (or even two) at a higher level club in order to compete for the no 2 position at Spurs, but unfortunately he joined Spurs too late to ever be CT, but he's currently by far the best youth GK. Kinsky joining Spurs allows Keeley to go out on loan.
