Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m not saying we would have won. I just think we stood a better chance of winning with a manager who had been there for 18(?) months, with a wealth of experience winning when it matters, rather than sacking him and putting a total novice in charge.
We can surely agree to disagree on this.
You think it was the right call.
I think it was bloody abysmal and totally unsettled everyone at the club (Mason included) a matter of days before we had 90 minutes to win something.
What is for certain is we were never winning that game with Mason “5 days notice” in charge. It’s like putting a journeyman middleweight in against a top heavyweight in a title fight with a week to get himself ready.

Yeah, we can! I get other people thinking Jose had a better chance, there are legitimately rational reasons to think so. It just comes down to your personal faith in whatever Jose had left at that point, and I just had zero.

Conte is not the ideal Tottenham coach, but he is the type of coach we need right now.
I think post Conte we can bring in Potter, I am not against the idea of Scott Parker.
Conte will almost set ablaze the dressing room, reshuffle the pack, give middle fingers to the ones not willing to work for the team, which will create room for a manager that would be needed to calm the storm.
The ideal Tottenham type manager.
I think Conte in himself is a stop gap, a productive one. One that can bench Kane, Dele, Hugo and even levy
Conte is paving the way and rebuilding the squad for Poch’s return. Conte will further raise his profile with us, before going on to something bigger in 18 months or so.
Then Poch will come back because it’s his destiny to finish what he started and actually get us over the line one day.

That 2nd game, I had a lifelong City fan texting me saying how they were out of ideas, having pot shots from range and could play all day and not score
Towards the end they looked fucked and we missed chanced to increase the scoreline.

The first game was ages ago now but I remember it being a decent match.
That 2nd game was peak Mourinho at Spurs. I remember an attack, where we made City chase shadows for a minute, then we cut through them scoring a goal that was disallowed for a marginal offside. The only moment during Jose's reign, alongside the famous 6-1, where I though we were the best team in the League alongside Liverpool.

There’s a big difference between thinking Jose gave us a better chance or thinking keeping Jose would have changed the result.

He might have changed our chances of winning from 10 to 15%. Woopty doo.

Bergwijn looked good there, nice hold up play, passing and work rate. What the fuck happened.

Peak Mourinho was just a small stretch of good form when we significantly outperformed our xG.

Look at how bad City’s press is there!

They dropped to 13th after that loss and looked totally out to sea.

They didn’t lose again in all comps for almost 5 months.

Unbelievable 48 hours i have to say. Amazing what fan power can do and i applaud the fans losing their rag saturday evening. Losing to a solksjaer team was an embarrassment. Last chance saloon for levy. Weve all had enough of his ego and penny pinching. Hopefully conte will get us going. Still think poch will return one day. 3 managers in 2 years since he left. All poch wanted was a rebuild. Top 4 is still achievable.

One of these is very scary...

...the other's just one of those nightmare alien monster movie thingies.
