Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There have been signs if you were prepared to look for them. Deep bonds being forged. Destiny Udogie clearly believes he has joined to play for Conte. The prominence of the hierarchy and Spurs emblems at Ventrone funeral. It feels oddly like the deepy pragmatic Antonio Conte maybe developing a crush....its been known to happen.

Is a correction in our future?

Not necessarily as this doesn't adjust for fixtures nor is past performance a reliable predictor of future performance. It is also a small sample size with a very tough away sample for us, albeit balanced by a smaller number of soft home games. I feel like we are a 68-78 point team though - don't think we've broken through that ceiling yet, but if we won three games next week, we'd be well on target for 80 as Conte will get us humming once we are out of the CL.

Nicely thought-out answer. IMHO it is optimistic but at least you supported your take. But if a 'correction' is "not necessarily" on the cards then which are you suggesting happens in order to jibe with your take, do we : A) continue to be hyper-efficient in picking up the points (i.e. no change and just ride the season out doing what we've already done) or, B) improve our underlying performance to be more in line with our actual points received/game (i.e. improve our expected points)

I think we can improve our quality of play by a fair bit but personally doubt it will happen completely before the World Cup.
