Conte out- maybe he can work with a big budget, and maybe he can work in Italy, but his football is boring AF and he has shockingly no interest in developing young talent.

I'm starting to worry that he is subtly sabotaging the team to try and get sacked as well. His lineup and subs made no sense today, and especially so given the context of what's gone on this season.

Give him the fucking boot before he does anymore damage to the club.

i actually think the lineup was good. the subs were weak yet again though.

Disappointed in his reaction today. Was hoping for a Burnley style, throwing toys out of the pram, but not sure he cares that much anymore. Feels more like a tactical game, but till everyone sings from the same hymn sheet at the club, we’re going nowhere.

What he says about needing more money is all true, but that’s not the only problem.

I hoped he could mould us into a winning team, but I don’t think he’s the right fit for us any more. There are different ways to pull a great team together. They usually involve loads of money and/or club DNA, but there’s also the Leicester route - they didn’t have the world class quality of players Conte refers to. I think it boils down to a special synergy between players, manager and even fans. Conte seemed to bring everyone with him for a while, but now I’m seeing him playing favourites, and a general lack of belief in his own team. Not sure he can pull this back now.

Man, we'd turn Klopp and Pep into gibbering wrecks ...

What is it with us??

Like them or not, Conte and Mourinho know how to win trophies ... until they come to us, then they somehow forget!!

Is it all on the players (in which case, who DO they want? ) or on Levy, in which case, don't get in a serial winning manager if you're not gonna back him!!

Imagine us getting someone like Ranieri in and him winning US the title...

Would never happen!

Levy has a big big choice to make. And it's sooner rather than later in terms of when he acts upon it.

If he wants to keep going down the route of hiring serial winners like Mourinho and Conte then he needs to actually behave like a serial winning chairman. Which is back these guys to the hilt, get them what they want, regardless of what it costs in exchange for short term success. That doesn't mean its pretty. Look over at Chelsea. They get someone in, throw money, get short term success with them and it crashes and burns. Perhaps a small lull period before bringing in the next big name to get short term success rinse repeat.

Our issue here is that he treated Mourinho like he was some kind of long term project manager in the same way he's treating Conte. Three or four transfer windows and we'd be fine.. Knowing full well that both these successful managers don't spend long periods of time at any one club because they're not satisfied with that.

Conte was never going to change for Spurs. Let alone Levy. He was never going to be satisfied with being a process manager like we had with Pochettino. Because Conte has a huge ego that drives his success. But he needs the tools to do so. We aren't providing it. And I think deep down he knows that.

So what does Levy do?

Does he realise he's fucked up, back Conte. Spend upwards of one hundred million and get players Conte needs and is happy with to compete and be ruthless for once? Or does he decide he wants someone who's here long term? Can get the best out of the squad he has and then rebuilds it every few years or so when he's happy to splash the cash?

Over to you Daniel. I have the feeling either way you're going to he making the wrong decision.

I respectfully disagree.

Gil should be getting regular appearances of 20' a clip as a leadup into a start. Gil should also be getting 20' appearances regularly in case he needs to make start (bc of injuries). Even though he apparently did alright, he should not be getting starts out of the cold like this.

Shuffling the CB backline while reintegrating Romero after a month out is crazy. And Lenglet had put in a world class ball from LCB last game. No reason to shuffle the CBs like this.

To me the starting XI looks either weak-willed, desperate, or subtle sabotage. Conte should have figured out what his options were well before this, and have rotated players into form as a precaution.

Who appointed Conte?!
Who gave Conte a poor squad?
What ooor squad?

This board wanks over Romero, Hojberg, Bentacur, Kulusevski, Kane and Son and generally has things to sayy about Perisic, Davies, Richarlison and Bissouma as well as Hugo for the most part.

None of which explains the shit tactics, lack of intensity or incoherent style of play.

Shit squad well shit manager too

He has nothing to work with on the subs though. Literally no attacking players and shit defenders. His only sin is the treatment of Spence.
he could of got sarr on earlier to beef the midfield up i think, the treatment of spence is just ridiculous, that kid will have his confidence on the floor now so i wouldnt expect much at first.

what i dont get is, he plays with wingbacks for width...then has wide forwards and a ST who naturally now drops off and doesnt like getting on the last shoulder....its fucking baffling! its an overkill of width with no threat in the box.

he would of been better today having kane and son up top and gil in the hole rather than son and gil wide.
