Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Good news, but also shocking that we’re in this situation.

Peak physical excellence should be a club requirement, regardless of manager.

You don’t need to hire Conte to work out you shouldn’t be tucking into a fucking sandwich after training.

Just hire Zest Zest and he’ll have them on adooki beans and low fat nut chutneys.

Who cares? I hope it shows what players of ours are absolute pussies and they get thrown away in December. Treating these millionaires like babies is why we have fallen off the last two years.
No, having two shit managers is the reason.

We have a huge amount to be thankful for with these players unless of course, you thought Jose and Nuno should still be in charge. But were it not for the players they would still be here, no?

If i follow this at home, does that mean I have to get rid of my litre bottle of Frank's Hot Sauce too?

If that is the case, you can expect some pretty leaky stuff coming out in the press over the weekend.

I can't help but notice that a certain someone is putting 'ha-ha' reactions where they'd normally be putting 'disagree's.... Has the admin taken their favourite spam button away?

If so, I am very grateful, but now I can't help but imagine that they mean it like Nelson's 'haa-haaaa'.

:pochshock:

I thought Conte would go 352 and Tanguy would get a game. I wonder if he prefers 343 not only because he prefers Lucas (at least, for now) but also because his success in the Premier League was built on the 343 at Chelsea. He knows the system works here, so has gone with that as the starting point and plugged in the players that best approximate what he did at Chelsea to win the league.

We had no centre forwards at the club. Selling Kane with a week to go = massively overpaying for someone like Vlahovic.
I disagree with that sentiment
Basically, it wasn’t Nuno or Jose, so players playing crap football and passing poorly was seen as innovative and positive because we changed formation.

Also, if you wasn’t impressed suddenly by Ben Davies you hate Conte.
Making subs too late is now just fine because we don’t have the players (unlike Nuno who had Ronaldo) and calamitous defending and goalkeeping is accepted because VAR

People spent years berating Levy and slagging off most of the squad as champo cloggers (when some we were actually playing ok too) but the same players now deserve a clean slate and to be able to prove themselves.

And apparently a drab 0-0 draw against an Everton team that shipped 5 to Watford has shown them a chink of light and some building blocks for the future.

Personally, I’m looking forward to about 8 players not being here by August, and hopefully 4 already by the end of January

But knock yourself out peeps, what with all these easy fixtures coming up. Easy like Vitesse and Everton was supposed to be.

Different day, same team
Thank you for your honesty, I do not want to rain on anyone's parade but it's also what I saw.

With what sentiment? That selling your star player with a week to go is a bad idea? That's not a sentiment, it's a fucking fact. You think Fiorentina wanna sell their top CF and leave themselves with nobody either? At that point nobody wants to do business, other than clubs who have been open to selling all window. It's far too late to get any kind of good deals done. Not to mention the 120 million bid stuff was all speculation, nothing was confirmed.

And if you and Sammy couldn't see any differences vs Everton, you weren't watching closely enough. There were clear signs of what Conte wishes to implement. It's been less than a week so the patterns he wants to establish aren't totally there yet, but that is entirely to be expected. Nobody was content with a 0-0 draw, but some aren't so spoiled they expect to win games 3-0 a week in with a new manager who has so much to change.

There was no other way to see it.

We have a forum of football experts who think that shit passing and shit defending and shit attacking is good football because in some passages of play, our players sometimes actually found each other or trapped a ball.

It’s like drawing with Everton 0-0 was actually better than beating City.

Some of the same group of people that “understand the game” also believe that Ben Davies might be having a Roberto Carlos renaissance and Winks is now Pirlo.

These ultra experts predicted easy wins against Vitesse and Everton, and despite getting played off the park for an hour my the mid table Dutch team, they still think most of our players rated a 7.

Then we went to Goodison and looked shit and this means the fixture list up to Christmas looks like easy wins.

It’s these kinds of fans that now feel Dele, and Dier and Sanchez can be miraculously cured because we have Conte.
But they still want these players replaced.

One even claimed that Vlahovic would not score a single goal in this team…..yet……he would like to drop Kane for him because Kane is poor.
But he also thinks Kane is poor because of the supply and that’s why he (and therefore Vlahovic) couldn’t score in this team.

But he’d still swap them.

Let them celebrate fake tweets about ketchup being banned, I’ll celebrate a squad overhaul and the introduction of a group of players capable of delivering what the manager wants.

Most of this group isn’t it, but it takes a true expert to believe that Dier can be Maldini.

Nutritional experts, what's so wrong with ketchup in moderation? Do all other elite players eschew it all the time.

Full disclosure: fancied a bowl of chips for supper with the film I'm watching while the missus is out. Had ketchup. And mustard. Bit of nice wine now.

That said, I'm not turning out for any kind of demanding sports activity any time soon.

It’s ironic because I was being berated before the match for saying it would be a tough match. That was negative remember

It was you experts who saw the same massive improvements against Vitesse who decided we would go and walk over Everton.

You’ve tricked yourself into believing this squad is good.
There’s about 8 players who need to leave yesterday

C’mon , Bill, we’ll live much longer. We eat better here

Ketchup is full of either sugar or artificial sweetener. It's probably more symbolic and about breaking habits than the actual ketchup, but to be at peak fitness you should be avoiding processed sugars and sweeteners do nothing good at all.

That's your Spurs career up the swany, then, isn't it?
