Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Towards the end he was directing the players where to stand and when to press, it was beautiful to watch - and it actually worked! I have not seen us press that effectively for years. They just need it to become muscle memory but the signs are good.

Edit: It does make me realise how much "more" one sees being at the match. I have just watch some highlights and the camera does focus on him, but you can see in the stadium how much work he is doing.
Thank you. That is such a beautiful post. I was too far away to see any of that, you lucky bastard.

I was right above the beautiful bastard. Seeing the small things is nice. For example, when Reggie didn't quite make the through pass in the second half, which I actually thought was under-hit, Conte desperately called for Sess to get ready. Small things as I said but nice to notice.

Excellent.

It's early days, but I fucking love this guy. I back him over any of our players, including Kane. It's time for them to shape up or fuck off.

I think it boils down to the fact that he has always performed. No one can doubt him. Anything anyone throws at him can be batted straight back over the bowlers head for six, if not out of the stadium. He doesn't have a failure on his CV. Lets all pray together that Spurs isn't the first crack in his resumé.

Full on Conte love.

Great to see Conte lift the team and all the true fans. He was truly inspirational and great television and entertainment, but it was from the heart and he celebrated each goal like a fan.

He gee'd up the fans to get the stadium noise level higher and it really worked. Thank God Spurs have Conte and what great timing before United sacked poor Solsjaer a little too late.

Indeed. Said same thing to my Dad walking back. Under Nuno we don't turn that game around. Conte won't tolerate too many halves like that again. Some of these players just aren't up to the job and need upgrading

There's absolutely no sense in him causing a stink in the dressing room; especially before the trf window opens....... People can talk about upgrades until they're blue in the face but he can't buy anyone yet and until then he has results to grind out.

I think we had this convo in the match-thread before the game, but his job right now isn't about style and entertainment; it's about squeezing the absolute maximum out of what he has until Jan and throwing the proverbial grenade won't make that happen.

He said himself at FT; that he spoke calmly and made tactical tweaks at HT.... There was no shouting or kicking ass and he was happy to report that the players responded. Of course some may be disappointed not to start (that in itself is a good thing anyway; those that care will work harder) and those that won't work won't start; but conflict will only complicate matters.

Absolutely, fair play to Levy for getting him in when he did, we would seriously be kicking ourselves now if he ended up with those entitled shits wouldn’t we?

Could prove absolutely huge in terms of both this season and beyond..... Any top 4 aspirations we have directly depend on United continuing to flounder..... So far so good (even though Ole staying would have been best).

Yeah I kept watching him throughout the game today. He was waving his arms around loads telling them what to do.

Conte is the Real Deal and we're extremely fortunate to get him when we did. If we fail under even him than its pretty obvious that Levy and ENIC are the problem and they will have no place to hide.

Let's hope they back him fully in Jan, not at the end of the month but almost as soon as the window opens. We need some real quality in asap.

He's as good as Pep, Klopp or Tuchel. Time for ENIC to finally show they have genuine ambition to take this club to the top otherwise what's the fucking point in building the best training facilities and stadium in the UK.
