I was just thinking that I'm happy that Conte is stuck with our squad for a month or two.

We've been saying for years that it needs a proper refresh. Many players have been shuffling along day to day without a care. It's always been the managers who took the blame but I've said for years that whoever was in charge can do nothing about an inability for our players to pass it 5 yards to a teammate.

Poch took the blame cos it was felt the project had run its course
Jose took the blame for being a dinosaur
Nuno took the blame cos he wasn't good enough.

But with all these...the players were shite but survived all of them.

Now there's no hiding place. If we continue to under perform it is pretty much guaranteed to be on the players and those players will finally be found out and shifted out.

Some of the players who get stick on here will shine though I reckon. Ben Davies being my hot tip for example. Conte seems to like him. He's professional. Reliable. He'll get some goals too.

This summer was a step in the right direction in terms of the refresh. Getting older and unused players like Sissoko, Toby, Rose, Aurier, Lamela, Hart, and Foyth out while bringing in players under 24 plus Sarr next summer.

Still need to bring in a good amount more quality but the sort of obvious deadwood is a lot less in this squad. Winks and Doherty are the only ones that are pretty useless. Even the ones who frustrate us and might need to be moved on like Ndombele, Sanchez, Dele, Bergwijn and whoever else at least should have some sell on value.

Whilst shots are obviously an issue, it's missing the chances that's the main problem .....

That’s the cheapest ticket, not the average. I estimate our average is c.1200, whereas City/West Ham’s average is c.350

I pay much more than that. Those look like the cheapest adult season tickets to me, not the average price- in fact looking at the price table I am sure. I am not saying clubs wouldn't raise prices if they could, just it brings expectation.

BTW the Chelsea news story whoever mentioned it was about new premium season tickets not the normal ones. They did a recent refurbishment of that area.
