His comments seem the same as Dino and Nuno who always bugged up the oppo before the gane saying how tough the oppo will be they are a really good side blah blah blah.
Let’s have some positivity and.big up our team and chances. Can’t be a great motivation for the players to be constantly told how good the oppo is?
This is all reminiscent of Dino first few months. We beat what you’d expect to win then big at home b chavs and reverted to type and stank out the place with a terrible surrender performance.
Have to say conte keeps moaning about “situation” but plays the same 11 virtually every game, the subs are pretty much the same and always late. Nothing really changes. Do we really need to have Doh at LWB?

He knows he isn’t going to get £400M worth of players and if that is the only way he can succeed then a) this is gonna go tits up and b) is he really that good a couch?

Massive overreaction in here, not for the first time. Last night wasn’t great but apart from gifting them two own goals it wasn’t disastrous. Conte has seen what some of us have known for a while, Reguilon is useless, imagine being dropped for Doherty? All over the pitch we need freshening up, he knows that we all know that.

Agree but surely everyone expected a better performance than last night - was nearly as harrowing as the home game vs them under Jose when we played like a league 2 side in the fa cup third round

Based on last night : Skipp and Hugo. Lucas played well but Ziyech is more of a goal threat.
And herein lies the problem, they have a proper SQUAD, we do not - we have a reasonable first XI. They have spent a billion quid so they can do this. We have ENIC not a bottomless pit of dodgy money. It's like night and day

Either way, last night he was very, very much in Tuchel's shadow.
Chavs 2-0 up and Tuchel is running through tactics with Werner and Kovacevic for when they come on. Conte doing a Nuno.
I'm not trying to run Conte down, but for me, I judge him not for what he's done at previous clubs, only for what he does at Spurs, and last night was very underwhelming.
Let’s be honest we’ve spent a truck load of money on rubbish. Ndombele GLC Bergwin, it’s easy to blame ENIC and they are far from perfect but it’s the recruiting policy that stinks
I agree with that too, but also think all 3 if those players looked good in their respective leagues. Then obviously we sign them and they get fat / injured / lose all confidence of course

Like Conte says we have to struggle to improve. He can't work miracles with what we currently have, and as much as I support the boys and want them to do well, you only have to look at Chelsea's substitutes bench and compare that to our memorial bench to see we don't presently have what it takes.
I still have hope tho, they should have crushed us and we were unlucky with the own goal. I'm taking the boy to the return leg to sing a few songs and watch our boy Moura do his semi final cup magic.
