I agree the tactics and player selections arent ideal. But its been multiple managers over multiple years and its always the same bunch that let down Tottenham Hotspur.

Our squad is bang average midtable Premier League but it should be more than capable to prevail over bang average miserable Championship.

It should, but it's full of a bunch of shoddily assembled half arsed players who have zero consistency and can only play under certain conditions, i.e when there's loads of space to play in and it's a big game. When it's a little bit tough and they're pressurised, this group crumble. They've done it under multiple managers now.
They'll win some weeks and lose other weeks. Don't have the spine to put together a run. This whole team needs to be purged over the course of years, it's rotten at the core. Whether Conte is the man to oversee that purge I don't know (doubt he wants to stay for it, honestly) but he's not the man responsible for this at all.
