That Woolwich game is going to be huge. They’ve picked up form recently and are definitely our biggest threat of top four.
Can’t wait for it.
We're our biggest threat.

They are also going into a clogged period of games I believe since they also hav rescheduled games to play. It will be interesting to see how they cope with that. That Woolwich game is going to be huge. They’ve picked up form recently and are definitely our biggest threat of top four.

He's had similar problems at most of his clubs though. He won the league at Chelsea with no Europe. When they had CL they faltered badly.
He won the league with Inter having hone out of the CL at the group stage - finished bottom of the group with 1 win. Only lost 3 league games all season but 2 were a few days after their previous league game.
This is probably my only concern with Conte - why does this pattern emerge wherever he goes, that shows his teams struggle with games in quick successions.
Here we go…:The outcry would be because selling your best players in order to improve is madness.
Said it loads - they get injuries they are fucked, if they don’t they cruise throughThey are also going into a clogged period of games I believe since they also hav rescheduled games to play. It will be interesting to see how they cope with that.
Winks is our biggest threat.
Sherwood's French I believe.
Sounds idealSherwood's French I believe.
Supported Woolwich as a lad, played for Watford, wears gilets...
They’ll probably wait until we’re short-handed and schedule it then. If we don’t beat them and they pip us, I am going to be so fucked off about that Mickey Mouse postponement. Cheating fucks. We will have 2 games a week a couple of times, after Utd we play Brighton away on Wednesday and we still need the Woolwich game to be re-scheduled (which for some reason hasn't been)
The difference with 5+ days of rest is staggering - doesn‘t account for who we played (or what game we were recovering from) but still…
Also, “teams in European Comps, plus Woolwich”![]()
For sure, it’s a product of little squad rotation/more recovery time + more time on the training pitch (fitness and refining Conte systems). Hopefully a full preseason and some decent purchases for depth/starters can mean more focus on recovery next season…Zero rotation and intense training probably contributing to the issue. You could see how sluggish we were against Burnley and Boro.
Based on my experience with weight lifting, you can do a super hard full body workouts 3 times a week at most, but stillneed a light or rest week every month or so. Otherwise your numbers will start to go down, not up. You feel weak, and it's frustrating.
When you're playing a PL game on the weekend and then a CL/EL game midweek, there's no room for similarly intense training. PL footballers are probably genetic outliers but even they need regular periods of rest.
It's not just a Conte tactical masterclass. The energy and intensity difference is clear to see.
Sky will probably schedule in the mid week before the final weekend. Can bill it as a big CL shootout if we are still in with a shout. If we shit the bed and are miles away come end of April it will be earlier. They’ll probably wait until we’re short-handed and schedule it then. luckily we have to play only the EPL, so no need to rotate (except injuries and suspensions)
We must have four or so midweek games?luckily we have to play only the EPL, so no need to rotate (except injuries and suspensions)
Not at present, think it's one
