Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Daniel, give him whatever he wants.

And if you can't give it to him, find someone who can.
This is that moment. The one where you can turn left and shoot for the top and change the club narrative. Or you can turn right and do what everyone, especially outside the club, are expecting us to do - fail.
Well done for associating 'left' with making the correct decision. Being left-handed, I'm sick and tired of 'right' getting all the best gigs.

Congrats on getting the forth place, this was amazing achievement. Conte has done just a tremendous work so far.
But let's be realistic we are years away from both Liverpool and City. They have spend millions over millions year after year, and they have build this teams for quite some time.
Even if we spend 300m.(which we won't), we still won't be on their level.
And they also have top managers, so chasing PL title is just not realistic. Maybe in 3-4 year time, it's more realistic.

Look how Klopp transform Liverpool.
Big money for Salah.
Big money for Alisson
Big money for Fabinho
Big money for Virgil Van Dijk
Big money for Alcantara
Big money for Keita
Big money for Mane
Big money for Luis Diaz
Big money for Diogo Joto
And then you can allow yourself to put some prospects around them.

There is no way sense to start with City, cause they have 2x first team in there.

Conte was clear that the next year will be harder, cause we will have more matches with CL play, and with the 5 subs.
That made it clear that he would like to have big squad.

Coming from one of the most reliable Spurs mouthpieces. Levy literally has no excuses now. Sounds like the club are buying into Conte and want to build a successful football club finally. Very exciting.

Truly a make or break summer for Levy. Give one of the best managers in the game what he wants and watch the club rise, or cheap out on necessary transfers and losing Conte, and our senior players in the process.

Well shit, let's not bother then.

Thing is, Salah and Mane are running their contracts down and ageing. If they go for nothing/next to nothing, can Liverpool afford to replace them?
They desperately needed a keeper and a CB and, as good as they are, they overpaid a bit. VVD is 30 now too. Keita hasn't really been "the one"
I think the likes of Fabinho, Jota, Diaz and even Tiago are well within our spending power.
My thoughts on Liverpool is that now is their time. I'm not 100% convinced they have the funds to rebuild when this set of players is past its best.
Don't forget they built a lot of it with Suarez and Coutinho money.

Would love to see him tied to a longer contract, that would mean more than pretty much any new signing
Long contracts are no guarantee that he would stay, he doesn't strike me as someone who would stay unless he was happy.
I think at this moment in time, he is happy and is up to the challenge of making us successful.
He comes across as sincere and honest, and I just love watching him on the touchline, he's all passion and raw emotion.
Just let us enjoy the here and now, because that is all that we can be sure about.
I hope he is a serial winner with us, it's been a long time coming.

Risk is Real Madrid do a Hazard and buy Salah for silly money with no Mbappe.

PhillyHotspur PhillyHotspur is very quiet today.

At least if he was on a longer contract there would be less lazy journalists turning it into a story. I think the speculation is a bit unhealthy for the team. I agree though, modern contracts are barely worth the paper they are written on.

I'm coming around to this Conte character. Just maybe he knows more about football than yours truly....just a wild theory of course via my massive L here . :contefacepalm:

While there's no history to show that this should happen, I do think that Levy would understand that this is going to be his best chance to get some kind of silverware. A lot of the foundational work to build the club up has been leading up to this point. I don't see any stupid amounts of money coming our way, but I do believe that he will let the reigns go a little to allow Paratici to do what needs to be done.

Levy will be desperate for Conte to sign an extension this summer. Same with Kane.

Those two need to play serious hard ball and flat out refuse to sign anything without guarantees of serious investment in the club this summer. £200m.

We CAN afford that. Time for Joe Lewis to actually fucking do something instead of rotting on that yacht in his pants watching Bargain Hunt and Homes Under The Hammer repeats.

We can actually kick on this summer and compete for the title next season with the right investment. Surely Levy isn’t this much of a penis that he’ll fuck this up. With Kane and Son rapidly approaching 30, this might be our last genuine chance for a long time.

In fairness, it is not all on Levy as you say. Owners need to collectively back themselves to grow the club again through success on the pitch.
