Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I always see left handed people as being lucky.

After all, they will have managed to avoid being drowned at birth…
Being left-handed isn't discernable at birth and by the time a sinister child is three or four they will have inviegeled their evil way into the family to such an extent that it's much harder to despatch them. That's how they do it.

How can either of those two teams improve much? Us on the other hand, good transfers will make a difference, bridge that gap,
As we can see they can still improve or maintain the level of play.
And while we can improve i don't see us getting to 90+ points and challenge them, not in the near future.

What i wanted to show with my post is that Liverpool have a good few years of signing top quality and costy players in order to reach their level.

But people on here loves to be dreaming high, and totally forgets about reality.
We cannot compete with City or Liverpool next year, neither the year after.

And there is also United with a new manager, and most importantly they constantly give huge money for new players, and will eventually hit it right.

The best thing for us is to try to be consistent and get into top 4 and to constantly add and improve the squad inch by inch.

Even if we sign 10 new players, it's not going to happen, neither it's realistic that Levy will give that much money.

I didn't want to swam anyone, but seeing people dreaming that next year, just because of Conte we will challenge for the title is beyond fantasy.
We also have super thin squad, and compare to City is an absolutely joke. They have 2x identical in terms of quality squad.

Pretty much what Conte was digging at, that our squad is very thin, and we will play 1 more tournament - CL, 5 subs next season and so, his words are that and are crystal clear.

We wont win the title next year but we will be called contenders at points even though we aren’t really. The year after I think we will have enough under Conte to properly challenge. Getting above Liverpool and City will be very difficult.m, but not impossible.

I’m expecting Liverpool to fall away (slightly). Still comfortably second but there tends to be a cycle with Klopp sides and that asthma is going to have to kick in at some point.

I think we should first establish a stable CL contender, and build the team to challenge. I don't see it happen in the next 2-3 years time. Even if we are so call challenge them. I don't see US challenge them in that time frame.

Let's be realistically.
We were dead wood before Conte, but he ain't enough, even with new signing to close the gap.

We were 6th in 19-20, 40 points behind the 1st place
We were 7th in 20-21
We would have probably end up the same if Conte didn't come on fire.
People were crying that all of our players are dolg****, that Kane is as good as finish, and that we basically need a whole new squad.

And now some people think we can challenge a colossus like City or Liverpool with 2-3 good signing, when we have CL, and still super thin squad. Sorry but this is just a pure illusion.
And when we failed to do so, they will lay on to the manager and blame him for it.

What i'm saying is the gap is too big. We can't narrow that gap in 1 or 2 windows. We are also not City, Real, Barca or PSG, the top players aren't fighting to coming for us, and we also can't give huge transfer fees and huge salaries.
Going that route maybe some team can narrow the gap to City and Pool, but we don't have that, so to expect to challenge or to be close to them it's totally unrealistic.

You're gonna be pleasantly surprised by this manager, he ammased 93 points in his first season at Chelsea, he will be looking to close that gap significantly.

Nothing that has happened at PSG suggests Poch is an elite coach. He’s a top bloke who gave us some fun but far too emotional to handle the big games. In the last couple of weeks we’ve seen the gulf between Conte and Arteta, we’re lucky to have him
That isnt really true though is it. The only reason we got top 4 was because Woolwich bottled it even more than Spurs bottling it.. We put it in Arsenals hands and had they beaten Newcastle there would be a very different atmosphere on the forum right now

Conte is a quality coach but we absolutely ballsed it up against brighton and brentford. Had we won those games we wouldnt have had to rely on a newcastle mastershow.

They'd already fucked away a 6point gap and a game in hand. They effectively threw top 4 away twice.

You really sound like a bitter rival fan, if you're basing your argument on if only scenarios then you really have no grounds.
