Perisic comes in as a real upgrade on a free for a couple of seasons .. it was a great signing.

For Conte football is about winning and that will never change. If winning isn’t the most important thing for you then probably best to stop watching until we have a different manager.
I prefer to win playing well. If we can’t do that then I still prefer to win. Playing well but not winning is why we haven’t won anything for 14 years.
I fully trust Conte, and I can take bad performances as long as we’re winning games. Don’t forget we are on a very good run in 2022, and I think that has skewed the expectations more or less, expecting to fight for the title? Maybe in 1-2 years, lads. We’re far away in quality from Man City and that gap won’t shrink in one summer transfer window and not with the amount of money we’ve spent so far.

The issues are clear:
1) We need defenders that can play with the ball, by the moment we have none, so why the fuck not play Lenglet?
2) We need WB that are good attacking, we only have one, so that leads to our right side only having one player avaliable when we attack and that makes it a lot easier for the other teams.
3) Being easy to defend the righ side you can focus on Kane and Son.
4) If you aren't carrying the ball to the attack there's no point playing 3 upfront too.

Why is it a bad thing that people have high standards and excpectations?

I have seen no-one claiming that season would be over, or we would be in deep shit or whatever.
I think it is really poor mentality to be happy or satisfied with draw against shit side that only had scored 1 goal in previous 4 games. I think that West Ham should not be a yardstick to measure us against. So excuses like "their cup final" etc are just empty talk or even worse - poor excuse. If we want great things.
