Try telling some on here that, they think we are solid. Carry on giving time and space like we have and we are gonna get mullered by some one one day. How spam didn’t score at the end there with ball rolling along our goal line. Did we even get that close apart from the goal? Now his saying need 3 more transfer windows ffs. Just spent nearly £15
this window plus the January spend. His sane as jose always wanting to spend more. However sure as a top coach they need to bring something to the table? Better tactics, subs, team selections, coaching, etc.

Never looked like addressing that in this transfer window. Don’t think he was even interested in a creative player. As for spence, whose probably our most gifted rwb, I don’t think conte even wanted him!

Yup it’s now 3 TWs to get to level to compete. Great man management and motivation for the team. His too defeatist! Why not change the tune and say we are gonna go for it in every gane rather than just sit back and play passive football. He needs to offer more for his money. There is no reason why he shouldn’t be able to coach the team to play better football, be on the front foot, run faster, try to create chances, etc wtc.
His basically saying all the players we have our shit if he now thinks we need 3 windows. How much is that gonna cost. If poch could get us playing great football and get top 4 consistently with a relative low budget why can’t conte. His a cop out like jose. Only rely on money. Even Rodgers hit liecester to change their style. Surely a coach can instill a style of play without soendimg millions?

Give this opposition opportunity to someone who deserves it, it's not as if we are playing anything swashbuckling.

Conte to quote Fabregas dictates where the player could be, how they should move.

I’ve never said we don’t need to improve, we will not stay unbeaten for much longer playing as sluggishly as we are.

But Conte has earned some patience from the fans. We are not playing as well as we were towards the end of last season but it’s clear that the mental aspect of the team has improved a lot and the technical aspect will surely follow. Apart from City I don’t think the other top 4 teams have started that different to us. Now that the window is closed, the CL is here, the season starts for real.
 
I get the way Conte is trying to play ( I'd rather we were more on the front foot but he is the man in charge)
but surely we need CH's who can see the pass that breaks the press (ours don't see the pass)
WB's that can see the attacking pass, (ivan can cross well, but don't think any see that pass)
and forwards on form, at the moment Son is not on form and so should be rested

It's not Mourinho eye bleeding football or Nuno what the fuck am I doing football which is what the OP was comparing it with. He could have just as easily said it's not like Poch entertaining football. Bloke got us CL football against the odds, a little respect is due.

People need to remember we usually started seasons slowly under Poch too. I remember every year moaning about us not collecting enough points in august and September and saying it will cost us and it did in the end. We dropped points we shouldn’t have and had we got those we could have been sitting on a couple of PL trophies. Eg. 15/16 when Leicester won it, we lost the first and drew the next three of the first four games.

Conte is a great manager in periods far away from market windows.
during or just before or just after the market windows he turns himself in a stupid moaning child, I would ban him from the press conferences during that time.

I don't agree with the part of playing better football, we are a solid team who create a lot of goal chances and we are hard to beat.
thanks to him we are a team who accept difficult moments of the match and is able to overcome them
Conte is a winner, if there is a chance to win something, he will.
Poch is a loser, his game was better but useless: can't lose a EPL against Leicester

we give up a lot of good chances in games both Chelsea & west ham had great chances about 12 yds out but shot high or wide (not saves or blocks) that has to be a big concern to Conte

That's a bit strange.

We are likely to lose to City this season but strictly on a game to game basis and against the same teams we are already 8 points up.

Now of course there will probably be occasions where that imbalance rectifies itself but at least it's on the positive side.

In the meantime we can also hope Conte can squeeze more out of the team. I think we are still very much in second gear.
 
Do people not watch football just for the sake of watching it anymore?

It seems that a few watch it thinking how much of a better job they would do if they were manager...

It's a nice fantasy, something akin to thinking what you would do if you won the lottery I guess...

Imagine if we had whole thread devoted to people arguing about which car they would buy first, how much money they would be paying their chauffeur or how they would lay their mansion out...

I know that sounds fucking stupid, but it's pretty much whats going on here...

Takes all sorts I guess, have at it I say, whatever gets you through this miserable existance...
