There’s a massive overreaction from (some) fans this season. Deki was absolutely on fire last season and now he’s injured, Son was absolutely on fire but for some reason he’s fallen off a cliff. Throw in the Lloris howlers and there’s really not too much to worry about.

Chill out, Deki will be back and Richarlison will rotate, we’ll be just fine.
 
There was something funny I realized yesterday. 1 year ago when Conte took over from Nuno, the starting XI against Vitesse in his first game was basically identical to the 11 he fielded against Sporting yesterday. Bentancur and Perisic were the only two different players from that game last year.

And which two players were involved in our only goal yesterday? Bentancur and Perisic.
I see why Conte says we still need a few more transfer windows to seriously compete with the best teams.
