This contract stuff needs to be sorted out ASAP, and at a stretch no later than the end of the season. Once it spills over into the summer you can guarantee that all our transfer business will suffer from it, as we'll go through the entirety of June and July trying to persuade him, only to be left scrambling looking for a new manager at the start of August.

On Romero If we got a big offer from PSG say I'd take it Lacroix N'dicka there are a few CB out there I'd be happy to invest time in developing Romero is frighteningly over rated.
Quite. What would be the benefit of persevering with Conte until the summer if he explicitly says he'll go at the end of his current contract? More overly defensive football with no plan B? At least a new manager might, if we're very lucky, suddenly help turn Son's form around.
Is there hope that keeping him around until June results in top 4? Seems unlikely given our current momentum.
I believe conte is playing who he deems to be the best available players. And yes he deserves support in standing up to a regime that tricks honest fans into thinking that their football club is anything but a business.

if he thinks emerson is a better player than doherty hes not much of a football person is he? hes allowed son to play about 17 more games than he should have when any mug can see hes been fucking shit and hes killing us, it doesnt take a football person to see that!
Doherty started vs Woolwich didn't he? As much as he's simply not good enough, emerson is also a better defender. Neither should be anywhere near the first 11 though.
Who does he have to play ahead of Son? Richarlison and kulu have been injured for half the season. Gil? He's been introduced more recently
richarlsion and kulu have not been injured all year, hes played son through his rut (which isnt a rut by the way hes finished) when hes had one of them on the bench, meaning weve had fucking dead weight all year and a man down.
doherty started against them yea, but emerson has been starting far more games than doherty when both have been available. doherty is not as bad of a defender as what gets made out. so called superstar zaha was nullified all game by doherty. he also by far has the best link up with kulu (because hes an actual footballer) .
