Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I am not a fan of either Royal nor Doherty, but Spence has a lot to learn to be a reliable Premier League player. I really can’t see how he’s the better player just after one good season in the Championship and 5-10 minutes in a random game at Spurs.
It's standard Conte, we won't bring anybody through with him in charge. he is the ultimate chq book manager and levy needs to take the blame for having the wrong manager for this club yet again.

Look the gooners, arteta has brought players like saka through, Contes negativity with the likes of Spence has been shocking.

Arteta has been prepared to drop players while Conte has constantly stuck with non performers setting a poor example and discouraging players.

Arteta plays with an actual midfield, Conte refuses. we essentially play a back 5 and a front 3 in personal on the pitch. Fuck he plays a back 5 against relegation fodder. we can't defend our back line and struggle against a low block or a high press.

Arteta has a well conditioned team, ours looks burned out!! Players clearly over worked in training during pre season and continually playing son (which ain't helping the player) is mind blowing

Levy has screwed us up badly and can't be trusted to get the right manager for the club.

Sure Conte is a great manager at the right club with the right spending plan and players but he's not the right fit for us with enic in charge.

Any walk of life if your boss is disinterested and has his foot half out the door you slack off and do fuck all because you can and there will be no consequences.
So conte needs to be sacked. Still have the season to go, rather have new guy in rather than conte burning the place down as he goes out the door.

Is it really possible to bring the moral and attitude of the squad much lower than it is?

Let's just see what happens on the pitch.
- players do not bother playing both halves
- okay, they celebrate together, but if something bad happens, there is no support of one another
- it is obvious who starts games, so no point of either putting in much effort - favorites will get picked anyway and outsiders will be ignored anyway as well...

But seriously though. Two months too late, but let's sack Conte who at this point is stealing from the club without giving anything back.

I hope everyone on "Conte is a world class coach" boat saw Goons vs ManUre game yesterday.

And remember how we have looked in our games against strong opposition.

As difficult as it is to admit - it is night and day.

If we leave goons aside and focus on ManU - they hardly have 11 brilliant superstars of choice. Their starting XI included Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay, Weghorst ffs.
Yet they played like a team. They fought for one another. And only fell to defeat with last-minute goal on away ground.

Now look how we absolutely rolled over... for OUR ARCHRIVAL at OUR HOMETURF.

Sure - our long-term strategy and footballing activities do need an overhaul. But these kind of performances for 20 fucking rounds... enough of that shit. There is even no plan A left, and even if we stumble upon something positive - like giving youngsters more of a chance like against Palace and Pompey- then even such changes are reversed as soon as it is possible to return back to "perfect XI" from last season.

Enough of the crap and excuses.
Enough of alienating our own squad members and picking your favorites.
Enough of clueless and gutless games.
Enough of Conte.

This isn’t remotely true.

Spence is the best RWB we have for Contes system. Refuses to play him

Forester should be starting ahead of Lloris

Bissouma should be starting instead of PEH

Richy should be starting instead of Son

And Conte continues to not take any responsibility and deflects blame or says we are playing good even when we clearly are not.

He has a better team than we had the second half of last season but we are 10 times worse.
I love how you say that with such confidence as if:

1) You watch them train
2) You know that Spence would be at a first team level and not show his inexperienced frailties
3) Lloris and Son shouldn't have had a chance to turn things around given they are two of our most reliable performers in past years
4) You know more than a world class coach

Richarlison and kulu have been out injured for extended periods. Bissouma has looked decent some days, and started others and looked poor.

Fix the problem at the source. No more band aids.

Woolwich look good because they're at a pivotal moment whereby multiple youngsters have developed into classy talents (Saka, martinelli, smith rowe, Saliba), artetas friend pep has given them two proven winners on the cheap who would each walk into our first team, and the board have backed arteta with excellent first 11 talents White (50 million), Partey (45 million), Gabriel (27 million), Odegaard (27 million).

Man utd look good because of club backing. Casemiro, Fernandes, varane, eriksen, antony, wan bissaka, lisandro martinez.

Don't you think Conte would do better with even man utds squad than spurs'?

I'd rather sacrifice another year with weekly protests and chants if it meant a club level fix.

No. I don't think Conte would do better with this ManU squad.

He would put most of his energy into shitting on the club while still starting Maguire in every single game.

And while you mention Eriksen, he'd be sitting on the bench while Fred and McTominay would be their midfield duo. Cause you know, more defenders can be used in such way, and God forbid if there would be creative force in CM...

how about it Conte?

Lloris

Royal Romero Lenglet Perisic

Bissouma Hojbjerg

Kulusevski Bentancur Richarlison

Kane

The problem with points 1 and 2 is we all see what Royal offers on the actual pitch where it matters.

Conte came here 14 months ago.

£300m?

Hasn't Richarlison been out for 13 matches out of 20 games?

I doubt anybody hated the fact that Jose got us to a final. Quite a lot of us hated what the team had become by the time we got there though. I do think he came here at a weird time though
Richarlison is not much use to us either if he’s constantly injured. We seem to sign a lot of players that are out injured all the time.

Facts don't sit well with this bunch.

He's been unfortunate this season, but it's not like he was constantly injured for stretches like this at Everton. We've also had a bizarre World Cup in the middle of a season too.

I'd hope Richi settles in properly now he's back and plays in a position more suited to him starting up top in the FA Cup at the weekend - a couple of goals to get him up and running would be nice.

Whilst I agree, unless we sign someone the other options are Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez or Ben Davies in a 2.

1. Ben can at least defend; Lenglet can't.
2. Until we have better CBs, a back four is a bad idea anyway.

Last season Rom/Dier/Davies proved they could adequately play together IF the collective is operating well and therein lies the problem/answer.

Do we not think them standing in a low block and them standing on the half way line could make a difference? Mourinho and Conte have both proved they can't sit deep so far in my opinion.
