Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What I hate is that our dirty laundry being aired in public - again. This shows that the board, the coach and the players care sweet fanny adams about the football club. We're such an easy target for the media and other fans.
Conte should have gone on compassionate leave after the fitness coach passed away and not come back. His heart has always been back in Italy with his family, which is completely understandable. But why take the job in the first place, unless it's to rinse us and to recoup some of the money he's been scammed out of.
They should ALL hang their heads in shame for dragging our Club through the mire, but they won't.
Arthur Rowe and Billy Nick must be turning in their graves to see what a soap opera we've become.

Good post

Until yesterday I was all for giving Conte more time, but he needs to go now. Thinking back, I can’t recall a time where he said he was honoured to be here, or even happy to be here. I’d maybe take that if he was performing, but if the players are being lazy and selfish, it’s his fucking job to stop this happening.

I thought he had a plan. I thought it was taking time to get right. It appears I was wrong and he was doing fuck all.

Not a big decision to get rid now, but a huge decision to decide who’s next. And whoever it is needs major backing in the summer. Over to you Levy.

Do you see it as all his fault (agree he's gone btw)?

Or do you think maybe there is a culture at the club between the board and players that successive managers haven't been able to fix?

Hi guys, hope you’re doing well. I’ve been having a look around social media following Antonio Conte’s press conference and can’t believe how many people think his outburst was justified. Even if much of what he had to say was true, his job is to find solutions, not air the problems which exist in the public domain. Thought I’d share my 2 cents as an outsider looking in, because as much as folk like to take the piss out of Tottenham, Conte’s self-serving antics warrant nothing but condemnation.

He is a dick but we knew when we hired him that he is this way. The board and the players have now hurt 4 managers, Conte is gone but the main problem remains and that problem is a club that has no clear strategy for on the pitch success nor it seems that much motivation beyond the cash cow of top 4.

Conte is saying what a lot of fans think, should he say it from a professional point of view, no but it’s pretty much the truth despite him deflecting somewhat his mistakes.

Swear to god if I hear “serial winner” mentioned in the next managerial hunt I’m going to do something, haven’t really thought that far ahead though.

We’ve had two ‘serial winners’ who have got us no closer to winning a trophy, probably in fact further away. We were a dodgy handball decision away from champions league glory, and competed for the league twice on the trot under a manager who cared about the club more than his own reputation.

Give me a Poch over a Conte any day of the week.
Then when Poch is here and he's not winning anything and he isn't playing the football that people want to see then what?

Poch has been here already his time is done, he's a great guy but it's time to move on from him.

Come on Levy, bring your best kicking boots to work today and kick the this fucker or of my club.

After that 100% focus on selling this club to ambitious, loaded new owners. Before the summer window opens please.

I’m not saying it has to be Poch, just a manger that wants to be at the club, who is willing to experiment and isn’t only bothered about their own outcome.

And the arrogance of the fans almost demanding success when the club is miles away from anything like it.
Effort. That’s what we ask for. Do or die trying. That’s what we do not see on a consistent basis. I mean we were bent over by Sheffield reserves the other week.

That FA cup is something we could have actually gone for and had success in and we rolled over.

Summary of Conte:

Pros:

- Is a serial winner with hair transplants
- Extremely passionate and animated post goal celebrations

Cons:

- Shit man manager skills, seemingly lacking in competence to develop youth and his team of players
- Stubborn, inflexible and rigid in style of play and picking players
- Generally makes shite tactical decisions with timing of subs and who he decides to take off and bring on
- Blows either hot or cold. If he's not given enough financial support, blows tepid or cold
- Needs roughly 100-200m a season (depending on the current crop) to be pumped into the first team
- Moans more than my nan after she's knocked back a couple of whiskeys

Like your videos. Always make me chuckle with the language mixed in.

Agreed with your video about next manager. Amorim is the one.

You are wrong here though.

Conte is right that the club doesn't have the ability to win in the current environment of English football.
Nobody can argue that Conte hasn't given it all he had to change it. It nearly killed him with his health and he still came back early then. Had a brutal year and still came back. Nobody can say they wouldn't eventually lose it after watching that Spurs performance defensively. He is responsible yes but he's also right about what he said in that press conference.

If you really want to make a video about Spurs that will bang. Try to get to the bottom of the reasons that Spurs aren't a winning club. You mentioned in your previous video "it was some voodoo shit" that prevented Poch. Start there.

Go back to the start of the premier league and how the club got on the wrong side of the power brokers in English football and hasn't done enough to fix that since. Look at the way the current owners have built the culture at the club and why successive great managers haven't been able to fix that. Look at what Poch did to gut the squad and how a new, ruthless culture nearly got Spurs over the line (despite the voodoo from the upstairs people in English football) then look at why he couldn't get over the line...

Whataboutery about how great woolwich and UTD are isn't the one.

To be fair, when the club announced they were looking for a serial winner , I half expected them to hire the winner from a kelloggs competition

Not defending him and obviously want him gone but that Sheff Utd defeat has been happening for 4 years now wherby the team just dont turn up in the cups against lesser opposition. Palace and Colchester under Poch......Norwich, LASK and Zagreb under Mourinho..... Pacos and Vitesse under Nuno.....Mura, Boro and Sheff Utd under Conte. Its a pattern. Most of the players have changed, the managers have changed and yet it continues. Is it because all the players know top 4 is the target? A lazy culture throughout the club? Squad players thinking they can get the manager the sack? No real idea but this wont change by just appointing yet another new manager.

Looks at the game from yesterday , we go 3-1 up and we decide to dig in , 5/4/1 and just sit back and invite pressure , against the bottom of the league , surely the players don’t decide to do that for themselves?
I agree there are a lot of problems at the club however maybe if Conte wasn’t so stubborn with his subs and formations then we would be looking a lot better.
