Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The bellend that is Matt Law with his view on things. Sounds like we are moving him on. Not sure bringing Mason in is the right move. If that happens then the manager we want to bring in must still be in a job (or we have no fucking clue who we want).

Tottenham Hotspur are still considering whether or not to sack Antonio Conte during this international break for his post-match outburst after the draw at Southampton.

Conte spoke with chairman Daniel Levyfollowing his criticism of the Tottenham players, insisting that he had not hit out at the club or the owners.

Levy is understood to be seeking the opinion of some of his closest confidants over the current situation and did not immediately react to Conte’s comments on Sunday.

But sources still believe Levy could sack Conte during this international break once he has taken advice and fully weighed up his options.

Were Levy to sack Conte, then Ryan Mason would most likely be put in temporary chargeuntil the end of the season in time for Tottenham’s next game against Everton on April 3.

Levy is deciding whether or not Conte will still be able to motivate his players for the run-in, following the Italian’s criticism of them.

Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League table, although Newcastle United and Liverpool have two games in hand on them, and Levy must decide whether he thinks the club will be best placed to try to qualify for the Champions League with or without Conte in charge.

Because I'm answering points made by someone in answer to a previous message.

Anything else? Is it ok if I have some lunch now? Thanks.

You went over the 150 character limit for modern brains, it's the "read the headline not the article" generation now.

I thought you were concise and addressed all his points perfectly but you know, I am a 38 year old man that still reads paperback books and doesn't spend my entire life on social media so I may have a warped perspective of what concise is lol.

And Mason would? Mason’s mates? Fuck off. An absolute joke football club. No wonder why everyone laughs at us. If you sack Conte now, you go and get Pochettino immediately. No fucking Ryan Mason for the rest of the season ffs 🤦‍♂️

I’d say that’s more likely the case, I also think they’re waiting to see what happens with Paratici before they decide on managerial candidates as he will have different ideas from the board on who it should be

Question is, who the fuck would want to even manage us?

We spent months just to end up with Nuno and now we have a highly respected manager who has won multiple trophies in his prime criticising the club.

It feels like a poisoned chalice at this point and I am not sure many would want to work under Levy and a DOF under investigation.

However, money does talk I guess...

Truth is, I don't believe there is a manager in world football who could fix this club with the way it is currently being operated on the football side of things.

Why is he stepping into this mess now ?

Poch is in a position of power. He can sit till the summer and decide what opportunity he wants.

I think I am in a position where I know more about football than you. I coached my local club team for 3 years. So maybe you can learn things from me instead of patronising me. Your age? I watched Brighton before and now and he has improved all aspects of the playing style in attack and defence. You want poch who struggled with psg in a crap french league with some of the best players in the world. Brighton have some good players. We have better players than Brighton. Imagine de zerbi with our squad and the ability to bring a few of his own. We would be still in the champions league and fa cup and maybe top 2 in the league. We need de zerbi.
Lol he talks down to you and then offers the most shallow analysis of de zerbi.

It's not up to you fella.

Just for that, I almost (but not quite) hope we do get Mason in for the rest of the season (btw that whole 'masons mates' thing is neither funny or true, so be quiet).

Exactly, I heard Ryan was an introvert outside of football, so much so that he even races his own ghosts in Mario Kart rather than playing against real people.

Masons mates is a complete fabrication.

I agree, Conte should go now but I highly doubt Mason leads us to top 4. We should get a proper interim and that includes Poch. Why wouldn’t he take the job until the end of the season if he loves this club so much?

Why not? Out of a job. Loves the club. There is every reason for him to come now, evaluate the team then rid of the dross in the summer. Bringing Mason in is an absolute fucking disaster and another shocker by levy like the cup final. Absolute joke football club.

I don’t think we will consider Poch in the summer. Now would be his best chance, if Conte goes. Right now it’s near impossible to get managers off of other clubs

Agree. I actually don’t think Poch is in as much demand as others think. I don’t think he has a ton of power.

Coming back here and re-starting his project is probably his best opportunity right now.

I’m not saying that’s best for the club, but I do think it would be best for him.
