That’s what he’ll be though, a Ben Davies level of player. A solid pro, good club man, do a job for you. Nice lad.

Absolutely.

Dele had a bit of that nastiness that Fergies kids had and the club culture dulled him.

We have this nice guy, play by the rules ethos that turns our players into softies.

Even fucking world class monsters like Romero will have conditioned Spurs fans believing he’s rash and needs to change his ways.

Hopefully they’ve seen him bully and shithouse us to win that EL final and realized it’s the club that needs to change be like him, not the other way around.

The kid needs a loan. Totally not his fault what happened at CB and I think he did extremely well in those circumstances. But when he was put into midfield.... Yikes.

I think his poor midfield performances have been blown out of proportion. He played 2 or 3 games max there and the one eveyone remembers was Anfield when he really was fed to the dogs in a makeshift midfield in a rotated team against a full strenght Liverpool going for the league at anfield. I'm not sure any midfielder in the world would have played well in that position for us that day.

He's still a work in progress but I do think them midfield performances have been totally blown out of proportion. I saw him outplay Caicedo and Enzo against Chelsea in a cup game for Leeds the season before. He didn't look a bad midfield player that day. Just needs to be eased back into it in a proper system. He never got that last season.

Rigid, can’t turn on the ball. Wide mid perhaps, like a limited and more basic Milner running up and down. Big eared boy from the Yorkshire farm.

He's still far too young to be putting limit on him. A limited Milner is all he is right now but he still has massive potential to be so much more than that.

Don't let a very small sample size (2 or 3 games where he was thrown into stupid makeshift midfields), cloud your full judgement on him. He surprised most people by how well he did at centre back and right back before Christmas. It went downhill after that but he was playing a different role every game and thrown into some ridiculous scenarios. Give him another season before you go fully profiling him.

You might well be right and he could just not be good enough. But its way way way too early to be cutting his wings and saying he's not good enough. He deserves this season and I hope he can kick on.

Massive concerns though for DM, juts can’t see it

I do think k he can be a decent FB or wide midfielder
