where have brentford said they woud pay £40M, its just paper talk to fill up news space,
Papers, Sky Sports News, Youtube etc etc have space to fill they say all sorts just to fill that slot
 
He needs a loan.

He's not good enough for the level we want to be at right now (he's not the only one).

Needs a full season playing as a 6 somewhere if that's what the club are trying to mould him into.

Personally think he should accept that he's a CB. He could be great there.
 
Not worried for Gray, he's doing alright, and have the skills and attributes to be a complete footballer with (even) more experience and time under his belt.

Ange got a lot of stick for using him in defense, but I still feel that this is the most natural and preferred use.

His better performances has been at back or CB, and not in DM (which he was also played at some occasions under Ange)
 
Gray is still not ready. He was thrown in at the deep end last year and did ok. He wasn't brilliant by any stretch but there are mitigating circumstances for that. The demands on any 19 year old in the premier League are going to be huge. There's no shame in him looking a bit deer in headlights, it's just bad business again to be spunking £40m odd on a teenager that you're hoping will come good than going and getting something ready made. The expectations on him are unfair imo but to be expected when you're selling out that type of money.

Did he make a mistake in his 10 minutes of us sitting deep and letting them attack us?

It is it just that the team was up to coward football by that point so blame the young players who come on late?

Gray was excellent vs Newcastle, in CM. That’s what we will see this year
 
Brilliant second half by Archie today. He grew into the game and looked really comfortable in that second half.

Great management by Frank to trust him. Today will do Archie the world of good for his growth and confidence.
 
Could see the instant improvement after getting a few instructions/guidance from Frank at HT. Needs these sort of games to develop. Cost us nothing and gave Bentancur and Pal a rest going in to City next week
 
We need New CM asap far more than CB, Gray cannot deputise for Paliniha or Benta !!!!

CB we have danso, dragusin only a month away also davies can deputise for a bit.

However in CM we are light if we get any injuries + Plus Sarr who looks like he will be so immense this season will miss nearly 2 months for afcon dec/jan.
