Competition Are we playing for 5th ?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Going by this our rivals have lost more than us and have had their 'Bournemouth' on more than one occasion, so if we finish 6th/7th who is finishing above us?
Most probably Liverpool, Arse, Chelsea, Man City .. . Erm, and... Erm .. oh yeah!

5th it is then.... Or possibly a battle for 3rd/4th with Man City & Chelsea...

Unless Bournemouth "do a Leicester"©®™ Fairytale and shock everyone!!

Yeah not many teams have looked that convincing so far apart from Bournemouth funnily enough.

I think Newcastle will kick on, Villa are dead and Utd can turn their season around if they get rid of their manager.

Don't think Chelsea are definites for top 4, too many unhappy players, a centre half partnership at the weekend of Chaloah and Tosin hardly inspires confidence either. Keeper dodgy also. They are no better than us but we may have the better manager.

City not as strong as previous yrs, two losses already, but probably will be there or there abouts.

We need Romero and VDV to stay as fit as possible to maintain our chances, a bit of clever business in jan might help the cause.

I see it as Pool Scum battle for top two, with Arteta finding yet another way to finish second. Then it's probably City, Chelsea and ourselves for the next few spots.
Likes of B'mouth or Brighton might hang around for a while , but likely to suffer due to squad depth/injuries.
Newcastle will need the new striker to hit the ground running and to cope better with CL football, which might also be our undoing if there is to be one.

I think some Spurs fans are under estimating the Spurs team and the manager. I am a Liverpool fan since the early 60s and I think Spurs have a better than even chance of the top 4 . Liverpool have 12 points but we have been extremely lucky to get 4 wins. Given a bit of luck (which you always need) and steering clear of injuries I think Spurs could be right up there. Frank is a very good manager and very likeable which helps a lot.

Given the squad we have now, and how we've started the campaign (Bournemouth aside) , I'd be disappointed with anything lower than 5th/6th. Woolwich, City, and Liverpool will finish ahead of us. Maybe Chelsea as well. On paper, we have a better squad, and, on the evidences thus far, a manager at least as good as any other team in the league.

I think we should be seriously looking at winning one of the cups as well.

We are a serious club, a big club, a club with an enviable tradition. We should be aspiring for our team to deliver on our potential. Fuck this settling business.

Sorry I just can’t compute. A very decent, respectful, humble and honest post. By a Liverpool fan.

Think people are writing City off from the title race too fast.

Foden will smell a chance for him to take Palmer’s starting England spot in a WC year and if he’s on top form, that partnership with Haaland wins them 9/10 games.

Their defence is suspect and they don't play with anywhere near the same intensity like they used to, Utd made them look good the other day.

It’s very very early in the season. I’m not reading much from the noise around them atm. Rodri will likely hit top form again eventually and they added quality to that midfield with Reijnders.

They've been like this since last season though.

I just think their time is done, you compare City's teams in the past to this one, it's night and day in terms of OOP intensity and pressing.

Looks like they have really lost their fear factor.
