Don't be getting your hopes up for this game. If your expecting us to go full strength and the players to be 100% up for it, 5 days before a European final then your just an idiot.
I know its not nice losing. I know our league position is unacceptable. I know this will be our 21st defeat of the season, etc etc.
But there is only one game left this season that matters and that is the European final in Bilbao in 9 days! Beating Villa and Brighton but losing that cup final in between doesn't save our season. Winning the cup final and losing to Villa and Brighton does! That is common sense. Stop getting your knickers in a twist over everything!
Only one game matters and this villa game is just in the way. We won't be risking some players and the ones that do start will be holding back as they won't want to stretch themselves. We will probably lose 4-0! Don't watch it if you can't handle it. I don't want everyone on here crying again next Friday because we lost again. 4 days before a cup final and you'll have the same people whinging about everything. Perspective. Talk after Bilbao.

I’m hopeful that Villa will get a couple of goals in front and then just cruise, with us only losing by 3 in the end - I’m hopeful for that, hopeful
As long as we pick up no new injuries then I don't care what the score is. We can beat them in the league next season when it matters

I quite fancy us to keep it tight and shut them out. If we push the full backs into midfield / central areas, Villa won’t know what to do and we can impose our game on them. They definitely won’t repeatedly breach the gaps our full backs leave and get dangerous shots and crosses off. Definitely not
