Supporters Big South Stand flags

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Thought I'd mix it up with a new thread.

I want the new stadium to be intimidating! A place players genuinely want to play at and one that has a unique soul!

Amongst cheese rooms, microbreweries, tunnel visions and abseiling I don't want our wonderful club to miss a trick and turn the place into a bit of a carnival. We don't want another emirates on our hands. The key to this is our new South stand, we need to make it powerful as fans!

Dortmund and the Scousers do a cracking job when it comes to their kops and I think we need to take a bit of our history with us in the form of big bastard flags wavering along the south stand before kick off!

Any thoughts on what kind of flags would look powerful? I reckon a big fuck off Pochettino flag in the form of Joe Clash Joe Clash 's avatar would start us off nicely, as well as one of Bill Nick at the gates he so loved. I'm talking proper flags, not the kind Woolwich wave around whenever they score. Strictly for before the game starts flowing like waves across our new baby! Making it a spectacle for our team as well as making the most of our south stand.

Any other thoughts on what would make good big fuck off intimidating flags? The more the merrier, let's have all kinds of variations instead of what the club do at the moment with their little plastic one per person ones

Massive flag of Levy's bald head .

Flags are cool as long as they focus mainly on the club itself. We don't wanna end up like Liverpool where there are more merch and flags for the "normal one" than for the club and players

Personally not a fan of flag waving, be it the shitty giveaways we seem to have every slightly momentous game or the choreographed bullshit you see at Emirates or Stamford Bridge.

Independent flag waving is slightly better but I still see it as a 'European' thing. Might look good but not what we are so would look forced and a bit fake. Plus if the scousers do it it's not really something to be 'copied' for me.

If we had space for independent flags to be hung built into the backs and sides of the stands and on the gangway areas that would be quality. Then simply fill the terrace with a wall of geezers and ban smartphones.

I make you right on that one. I wonder how much it would cost to get a huge one, the size of the whole south stand made. Get about 20/30 of them done and mix it up every game. One of revolutionary poch, one of Bill Nick at his gates, a huge one with the old THFC letters interlinked on it like back in the day. We could do a shit load of proper retro ones and modern day ones. Make the most of our history

Definitely like your idea of hanging them somewhere. Maybe at the top of the stand where there's a gap between the seats and the roof. Who needs natural light in a football stadium anyway?

I fear we may end up with digital flags in the new place. Is it City who have them?

Fully on-board with Big Bastard hanging flags, though.

I think the flags are a good idea. I suggested to the Trust that we should have independent flags and a place to put them below the stand. The club should be no where near the flags. What is more important, and perhaps a better idea, is a thread regarding atmosphere in general. It would be great for a consensus to be reached on a variety of things. Getting things sorted over this year will really help.
