Absolutely insane that we dropped 50 million on this guy.
Tbf to him, I don’t think he’s quite as bad a player as he has looked in these opening two games, but he’s just so unsuited to how we play. He is a pure counter attacking player, he needs space to run into. He’s so unsuited to playing in a team that are on the front foot it’s painful to watch. It hides his strengths and exposes his weaknesses to a horrific degree.
The only role he should have in the squad is that of a bench option who we can bring on to try and add something different.
But as he cost 50 million quid, unfortunately id imagine there will be fair pressure on Ange to get a tune out of him.
