Said it many times on here, he needs to be at a totally counter attacking team like Nuno’s at Forest last season
- that’s the only type of football that suits him. A winger that has no flair at all, can’t dribble and doesn’t want to beat his full back with the ball at feet. Can’t cross and only has his stock smash it across the box without looking delivery. A product of modern football.

I’m grateful for the goals he’s scored for us, his record is pretty good. He doesn’t suit us at all and it’s painful watching him play in our system a lot of the time. Hopefully Nuno puts in a £30m offer in January:nunothumb:

We should have sold him in the summer when his price was as high as it ever would be. That was the correct time to sell him but as like so many times in the past we just never sell at the right time.

Wasn’t he brought is as an option for the future? And then just ended up playing because we had no-one else? I seem to remember Ange trying to deflect flak from him with something along those lines. If that’s the case, and with two years of abject coaching, perhaps we can cut him a bit of slack? Yes, he’s lightweight, yes, he bottles challenges - but at best, let’s be honest, he’s going to be a Lamela, not a Ronaldo - at worst, he scored/bundled/bummed the goal that won us the Europa.
Let's be honest… the real Europa League winner wasn't BJ, it was Luke Shaw's own goal. Someone get that man his medal, he did more for the final than our attackers on the pitch.

ditto

no surprise that he scored at City and had chances to double the score too

away in the CL. away to the top teams in PL

coming on as a sub when people chasing the game v us when we're ahead

squad player and whoever thought that was a good use of 50m needs sacking

I'm sure if its obvious to us then it is to Frank too

he's having to deal with a bizarre squad not of his making

In the 90th minute……what was you expecting to do?

(TBF we played until 97mins.)

Silly sub. He's not gonna do what you need from him to do at that late stage in the game.

You need hard running, aggressive pressing from anyone you bring on at the top end of the pitch to counteract the fatigue inevitably setting in on all those that did start.

Twice in added time we allowed their GK to casually stroll up to the half-way line and pick a pass (allowing all their players to stay camped in our 3rd).

Would have been much better off bringing Spence or Berg on to grind the clock out.
