Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Traditional British take on footballers, first they look at the physical attributes, strength, speed, stamina. Quality has always traditionally been second best. Partly why the British International teams have been useless over the years. England have only recently started to be successful because the technical quality of players has improved because of coaches like Pep in the PL.

Look at the USA and Canada in the WC, supremely fit team but the quality is what makes the difference in the end.

I look at the chance Brennan had 1v1 against Woolwich and think does he have the quality end product? We've been spoiled with Son and Kane recently. I hope it works out for us.

I generally like Allcott, but this isn't a great video. I don't think Ange plans to use Johnson as a left inside forward, that's not really how his left wingers play (it's not how Son plays and that's his best position!). Also we don't have a Biss-Sarr double pivot, Sarr plays on the same line as Maddison.

True on all counts. Didn't read it as saying Johnson will (necessarily) play on the left. More so that part of the appeal is that he can play across all three position up front, and it becomes an option, depending on how Richarlison gets on and/or whether Ange prefers Son central and/or Son not doing the business on the left.

Lots of moving parts and unanswered questions with Richarlison, Son and Kulu.

Well I for one am excited about this signing and think he is going to give us a whole new dimension to our attack whether through the middle or out wide. We've really been missing pace and someone who can beat a man both sides.

The amount of talent we have in the academy now + the U23s in the first team is really something and don't really remember us doing anything like this before. I really think Ange is building something special for the future.
