Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Johnson needs some serious coaching to be able to receive the ball on the half turn. He also needs to be coached to use his pace to take people on. Unless he is running from deep to get on the end of something he is totally useless. Even if he tried a basic 'knock the ball past his man and race after it' he'd be twice the player. Let alone try and play a first tiem pass around the corner into Bergvall or Richy, or even play a fiorst touch one two inside to Porro. Last night's cameo was a rinse and repeat of his shortcomings. Get the ball to feet, first touch is always a safe one taking him 5-10 yards back towards his own goal. By then Porro has underlapped him so he has to pass back to Romero. Totally pointless even passing to him - Porro may as well play it long. I bet RBs love playing against him as he is so easy to mark and shut out on that flank.
You're spot on in what you're saying mate but why on earth are we having to consider coaching a 24 year old in the basics of the game?

? You posted an article which directly contradicts what you said.

I'd probably understand it better if your weren't actively making stuff up and speaking crap tbh
no it didn't directly contradict. I said he didn't want to leave. But had he stayed, he would only be given a role from the bench. Under those conditions, he didn't want to stay. That doesn't mean that he wouldn't have liked to stay had he had a more active part in the team.

Are you seriously arguing that that is a direct contradiction? If so, you're being illogical.

On the contrary, had he been a major part of Frank's plans, he likely would've stayed. Now Frank is instead playing Tel, Odobert, BJ and Simons. A major fuck up if you ask me. Cost us a lot of millions too that could've been used to upgrade on Bentancur for example, and also get a top striker.

Absolute waffle

He wasn't really part of Frank's plans. 'The report says that Frank has already confirmed he is willing to let the Spurs captain leave as he looks to rebuild the club’s squad this summer.'

'It is explained that the new Tottenham boss has made it clear that Son is ‘welcome’ to stay if he wishes to do so, but only if he accepts that he will spend a fair amount of time on the bench next season.

The 32-year-old has reportedly accepted his fate and is open to an exit from North London this summer.'

So he could spend, probably being something like Ben Davies in the pecking order.

Now he's starting Xavi Simons instead. And look how effective that is. The other options being Tel, Odobert and BJ.

I must say Frank made the wrong decision. And of course Son is too good to be treated like that at a club where he has achieved so much.

He bagged another brace yesterday and has 8 goals in 8 games.
Yeah....this. This isn't what happened. It directly contradicts what Son has himself said. I think you're being very disingenuous.
