Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Giving up on defending him now.

Respect his knack for goals but he has to be able to do more than he did tonight
He doesn't care. Not one bit. Thinks he's that essential to us he can just give zero effort. Thinks he's Mbappe level.

But he's just an overrated cunt cause he scores tap-ins and forced Shaw to og in Bilbao.

If Romero gave a real shit about Spurs, he'd give him a right slap.

No player has ever made me so downbeat when I see he’s starting for us. I never thought any player could surpass Sessegnon when it comes to my mood but Johnson has succeeded. I’m 100% sure he won’t play at Leeds so that’s made my mind up to go now.

Remember last year when the entire team worked their butts off just to set up tap-ins for BJ? The whole strategy was basically to cover up a disastrous signing by padding his record and making him look half decent.

We could’ve maybe fooled someone into taking him off our hands after the EL title, but now? Forget it. Nobody’s going to be stupid enough to buy him after what’s been exposed. We’re stuck with him, and it’s killing us.

No I don't remember this.

Just count the tap-ins and tell me what else he actually does. Someone had to do the hard work to create those chances for him - he didn’t magically make them himself.

Tapping in from one yard out doesn't cover up the fact he's absolutely terrible at football. It's embarrassing we're still pretending otherwise.

He has, for me, up until maybe, the next summer at the latest, or January, if a good enough deal comes in for him to prove his worth.

He showed signs that he can beat a player, against Doncaster, but he needs to be able to do that at the top level, and he simply just not shown he can do it.

He just doesn't offer enough, and all his goals, whilst very welcome, should be able to fetch a pretty penny, if we do have to sell him.

They were completely demoralised - it was like playing with 10 men and dragging a passenger around the pitch.

And I'll never forget Micky busting his lungs, covering the entire pitch, only for BJ to shuffle in at the last second and tap it over the line. And people were actually praising him for it, like he’d done something special. Give me a break.

It's not just on him though - it's on the manager too. If you build a system where the whole team works like dogs just to make a passenger look half-decent, don't be surprised when it all falls apart.
