Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Pino, 22, was their second most expensive signing ever.and has played as a right winger when I’ve watched them. He cost less than £30m.
They’re not buying Johnson.

Sarr is the player he'd be going up against not Pino, Pino has replaced Eze, playing off the inside left position.

Johnson playing in that role, playing off the striker and not as a winger as they play with wing backs is absolutely perfect for him, I can see why they're interested.

Doesn’t change my opinion. .
I rate Sarr as a better all round player than Johnson.

Many of us believe the same thing...but that doesn't mean he can't be a key asset for them, who knows what role they'll have in store for him.
My real point is that I don’t think they splurge close to £30m on a player that I can’t see as a nailed-on starter for them. It doesn’t fit their profile.
I wouldn’t rule out loan interest with an option not taken up.

I think he's worth a goal tomorrow....
Probably best not to start him, but could definitely see him coming off the bench to haunt them in this one!

Djed also needs to show them what they missed...

Gonna HAVE to score 2 or 3 to win this I reckon... Cos you just KNOW MGW is scoring... so we're already as good as a goal down !!

I think Spurs won't move Johnson on until they are sure they have an adequate replacement. Whatever people think of Johnson, his ability to put the ball in the net is a surprisingly scarce commodity in the Premier League.

Not true.

He is barely getting mins as it is. Kulu should be back in Jan which will push him further down the pecking order.

If we can get 20-30m in and put it towards someone that will upgrade the first 11 we absolutely will.

Frank has made it abundantly clear he doesn't rate the guy.

In my mind, clever management plays Johnson today and from the start.

I think Johnson will be angry at some of the headlines, and maybe no firm rebuttal, albeit speculative, and he should also be frustrated at his lack of playing-time.

A brace or a hat-trick today creates a nice set of issues, and those who see Spurs ahead of personal bias should welcome such an occurrence.

So glad you are not the manager.

Does nothing. Doesn’t even score anymore.

Flog to whoever is silly enough to pay.
