Sarr is the player he'd be going up against not Pino, Pino has replaced Eze, playing off the inside left position.

Johnson playing in that role, playing off the striker and not as a winger as they play with wing backs is absolutely perfect for him, I can see why they're interested.

I rate Sarr as a better all round player than Johnson.

My real point is that I don’t think they splurge close to £30m on a player that I can’t see as a nailed-on starter for them. It doesn’t fit their profile.
I wouldn’t rule out loan interest with an option not taken up.

I think Spurs won't move Johnson on until they are sure they have an adequate replacement. Whatever people think of Johnson, his ability to put the ball in the net is a surprisingly scarce commodity in the Premier League.

He is barely getting mins as it is. Kulu should be back in Jan which will push him further down the pecking order.

If we can get 20-30m in and put it towards someone that will upgrade the first 11 we absolutely will.

Frank has made it abundantly clear he doesn't rate the guy.

I think Johnson will be angry at some of the headlines, and maybe no firm rebuttal, albeit speculative, and he should also be frustrated at his lack of playing-time.
