Did you actually watch any of the games?!If it's that easy, why isn't every winger getting 20 goals a season? Only Bale and Son have scored more from the wings for Spurs in Premier League history.
I can’t see anything online.
Not a player that would ever get close to starting for a title winning club, or even a title challenging one. Certainly suited to start for a mid table club like Palace, Everton, Sunderland, etc.
*checks league table.
Oh. Hang the fuck on…..
How much do you actually want to bet?I would be willing to wager that if he moves in Jan, he will outscore all of Spurs strikers this season.
Selling a 24 year old, 20 goal a season winger feels like madness. Replaced by a guy that scored 3 in 24 games, and is gassed after 60 minutes. It's no surprise his family have asked for a transfer.
Nah just wanted certain saddos to cry for a bit.
If his team are drumming up interest he’s probably not going to jump the minute the window opens in case something better pops up.
There's a couple here shilling for Johnson and making a big deal about his '20 goal season ' form but a quick search tells you they were prodigious Ange die hards in the face of all logic..Then own up to their error and say 'yes he was out his depth' then are back blowing smoke about how he was after all a winner. They are needy clowns who desperately crave the thrill of being the center of a hopeless lost cause.Surprised to see some people suggesting it is wrong to get rid of Johnson.
I'd wager a bet he never replicates last seasons goal scoring again in his entire career.
As a club, you need to be able to evaluate if a players output was a one off, and you also need to work out whether his goal contributions outweigh all the negatives.
Johnson was hands down one of the worst attacking players I've seen play for Spurs in a long time particularly relevent to the fee we paid also. He was horrible. Not only was he a terrible footballer, he was meek and lacked courage too. This isn't a slight on him, he comes across as a nice guy.
But as a footballer he was shite. Yet the enigma with him was he would have the occasional game where he'd play well but then he'd disappear for another couple of months, yet at the same time still pop up and score goals fairly regularly.
At the end of the day, you can't have a player who contributes nothing, and only contributes goals, because the goals will dry up, he isn't a Salah or a Kane who will always score regardless, he isn't that good. If you want to build a complete competitive team you need more well rounded technical players. I lost count the number of times, playing with Johnson in the side was like playing with ten men.
You only have to look at the type of clubs in for him now to see his level. These are clubs that will accomodate his weaknesses and try to maximise his strengths, but top clubs don't do that. It's why City are signing Semenyo and not Johnson.
I think he'd suit Palace playing off Mateta as a shadow striker type of role, but I said a few months ago he would be the first player out the door for me and I am glad the club felt the same.

The stats back up what the eyes tell me
He is among the worst in so many categories, he's just such a poor footballer.

It was a bit tongue in cheek to be honest. You're saying that if we want to be a mid-table club, Johnson is the perfect player. So why would you want to keep him? We don't want to be a mid-table club.
We need to take the nice fee being offered for this very limited player, and move on.
Tbh I wouldn't blame Brennan if he did. I think it would also be to his credit if he accepted the move to go and play.
I've said Brennan will score plenty of goals wherever he goes and I stand by that. The fact that there is interest from Palace, Bournemouth, Villa, and Everton tells us plenty about the quality of the player.
The same people that hate on Brennan, regularly wax lyrical about attacking players from 3/4 of those clubs.
Their better ones yes lmao, not the one they want as a rotation option. Calm down mate they think he’s a rotation with Sarr.
He’s nowhere close to a Watkins or a Rogers, he could be a substitute at these clubs or a starter for Bournemouth if they sell semenyo (hell of a downgrade though).
