Match Brentford (A) - 02Feb, 2pm - Live on Sky

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I shan't attempt to deprive you of your opinion.....

....But this suggests you think they were "rubbish" to at least some degree.

...Ergo????

(What do you do with such players then? ....Not make them feckin' captain! LOL)

They weren't "unceremoniously" anything... Now you're just adding drama to a scenario where there was none.

Dier got a cheeky little move to one of the biggest clubs in the world with just 6 months left on his contract (where he's riding the bench even though the way they play suits him a little more than here).... A move that suprised most of the footballing world.

PEH was being used as a sub here all last season, but his deal was also coming to an end and he wanted to be a starter so was found a new club/league where he could start.
my friend in marseille absolutely loves him. apparently he's been a warrior for them this season

Brentford havent beaten us at their place for 77 years. Did find that funny when I heard that.
Hate these stats. For 69 of those years I bet we didn't play at their place.

No pop at you just a battle against pointless stats.

On the tube they used to have "76 passengers were killed or injured in this station last year" - not sure you can lump in death with a stunned toe for a meaningful stat

The funny thing from today is that people are belly-aching about lack of possession, inferior XG etc......... Yet, wasn't what we saw actually some semblance of a much fabled "Plan B" (*) ?

(*A "Plan B" btw, that despite being told we've never seen it, was absolutely visible in other games this season too.)

I don't expect today to change any broader opinons about the manager (he's type-cast himself with his repeated "It's who we are" comments); but it's a sure sign that some of you fuckers are just forever searching for an angle from which to complain and pick holes and aren't actually doing so in hope of a resolution.
I will defo give him the credit for that, surprised people are moaning about winning ugly, surely everyone just wants some fucking points on the board at this point to guarantee PL status for next season?
Still don't want him here beyond this season and would see him gone now but as you say at least you can hand it to him that he assessed the opposition and saw we would get tonked playing inverted full backs and ultra high line and went far more reserved. As others have said we could have had more than 2 as well despite low xG, Moore denied a pretty solid pen shout and Richy fucked a fair few chances. We are gonna need to play that way to get anything from Liverpool so nice to see us game-planning for that in this fixture.
I feel more confident in not needing to bin him immediately for the sake of the club's survival in the PL even if I do think, as you say, he has largely made a rod for his own back this season with his failure to adapt to the opposition even with half the team out, it's ok playing the way he does if you have a fucking mustard team on the pitch and it's all firing but maybe when you have an 18 year old midfielder playing CB and a right back at left back you can look at being more reserved. We do have Southampton and Ipswich to play still and I think we can definitely win both of those which just leaves us looking for 3-6 points from the remaining fixtures really.

People in football will always have biases and opinions. As Sky have moved to a more banter era, social media clickbait tone, that’s just the facts of life. It’s all on Levy, who let us become the puncbag of the PL. The London wannabes who sit in a gleaming stadium, with an average team and win nothing.

Bollocks.

Man U lost again today. Where were the "let's all laugh at Man U" comments?

Where is the "banter" about Newcastle having not won a trophy in over 60 years?

Villa have done nothing meaningful for 30-40 years. ....Why not sneer about them?

Both the latter so-called big clubs (according to them and their fans).... Both have been relegated of late...... Where's that "banter"? ............Why are they not the punchline?

Wake up.... For whatever reason; our face doesn't fit and we're an un-welcome addition to the proverbial Big 6.......... And they relish seeing the back of that.

Compare to Man U..... Their fortunes dip and Sky change the lingo from "Big/Top 4" to "Big 6" to accommodate them into the continued conversation.

By not kicking back against their bullshit; you're part of the problem.

(....And before you strawman me; of course we have improvements to make, but BOTH things can be - and are - true!)

Our league game v then in Dec 2021 was the first league fixture we'd had against them since Dec 1949.

.....And in the interim we'd only played 3 away cup ties there too.

All things considered…is that the best performance and most important win this season?

Cos Man United can still live off the gleam of the Fergie era, and have their big voices like Neville there. It’a practically the United/Liverpol channel in most ways. As for Newcastle/Villa, O guess it’s because both teams have been relegated relatively recently, they are seen as somehow lesser still.

Spursy wasn’t a thing before Levy. That’s just a fact.

Loving this result. Anyone who’s met a new age Brentford fan recently will know what misplaced cockiness and arrogance has filled their vacuous minds. League One at best. Hope they crash and go down. Don’t care if we were lucky. This will give our squad much needed reward after a tough few weeks. Great for the hardcore away fans too.

Fuck ‘em all and Up The Spurs!!
