Match Brentford (A) - 02Feb, 2pm - Live on Sky

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This type of performance is what we should have been doing all season. Has Ange finally learned how to win in the PL?

It was only a few months ago when we lost to Brighton after being 2-0 up that he was talking about not wanting to change anything just for the sake of short term results, that he’d rather lose than get a result we “didn’t deserve”. Idiotic stuff but maybe he has finally accepted that he was wrong to be so dogmatic.
Not sure if todays win would fit in with his “we didn’t deserve to win” comments after Brighton😀

In current form he genuinely has a chance getting in the England team. He's at least as good as the likes of Hall and Livramento who are talked about as the future.
Got be up there with the other fullbacks. I love when he just ru s with the ball when he sees a bit of grass. Wish he’d do it more. I’d be tempted to play him I front of Porro on the right when rest y is back. Him and Porro would make a great combination.

Just watched the re-run as I was kind of in and out of the room during the actual match this afternoon.
Big shout out to Ben Davies. I've been one of his biggest critics but fair play he was a rock in that defence today.
I definitely under scored him in my match ratings. Does the ugly stuff that often gets overlooked and that was a match winning performance he put in today

Spence should be rotating with porro next season

He’s a RB that can also play LB

Get Lange to scout a top drawer LB and make levy pay up

Yeah I know. Long odds
I don’t know about a top LB talent but at least someone to compete with Udogie with potential to become a top LB.

There’s plenty to be happy about with Udogie. He is a player that will really benefit from better coaching. This constant inside underlapping play is just not what modern effective fullback play is all about.

I like udogie. I think he’s suffering under the burden of not having a fellow LB to bounce off so to speak and to compete with

Feels like hes doing the best he can but in an almost soulless fashion …. I don’t think its good for his football

But where I disagree is the quality of player we need to buy …. We need to go out and buy the best we can …. For the team, which needs some quality straight out the box snd secondly I believe Udogie of all our players would benefit most from a top player who knows the job

Ange doesn’t know how to play full back. Inverted or not

It’s the first I can think of. Agree, critical at times and just when we needed it most. Great result. At this point the performance has to come second doesn’t it?
I think it’s got to be a combo of the two. We had under poch and Harry. What we need to do is keep the ball better. We must rank as one of the highest in terms of coughing the ball up. For all kulus plaudits he is the most guilty. Also we need to be able to transition the ball quicker from back to front. Too often it’s slow slow passing between the CBs and we then get caught in a hole and have to lump it.

Brilliant trolling by Richi there, to draw out that sub haha
Surprised this didn't get more mentions on here. One thing we've been awful at recently (and as long as I can remember actually) is game-management, including breaking up the game when we have a slender lead (which in itself is admittedly rare these days I guess 😂 ). I don't like to see it, no one does, it's basically just cheating, but if everyone else does it and continually gets away with it, then we have to do it too. But generally none of our team does. So it's good to see Richi using a bit of shithousery like that, we've really missed that in recent months.

Personally I love his heart, commitment and determination - if you could put his heart into a resilient body with good footballing skills, you'd have an amazing player.

Brentford had the majority of possession in both games and lost both games. Spurs are 3-1-2 in Premier League matches when they have less than 50% possession and 1-1-5 when they have 65% or more.
