I'm not seeing that at all.

In fact, there's an almost inexplicable level of optimism going into this new season that there hasn't been for a long time.

Considering we've just lost one of the greatest players to ever don the shirt, I'd say we're holding up pretty well.

I remember the start of Nuno season there was much more doom and gloom even with Kane in the team.

Optimism from fans that study his impact. I think the tabloids and the Sky dickheads will go after him if we start slowly, and that will influence the majority

A good/ok start is essential.

And I think the media might cut him some slack now that the job of getting Kane out of the club has been accomplished by them.

Not really much to come after us for now as they've got what they wanted ( or rather they haven't because they haven't got Kane in the Premier League anymore).

I think they'll cut Ange some slack.

I just don't see what they've got to come at us with

No one expects anything from us this season

We've been written off entirely - especially now that Kane has gone

We haven't really got anyone with a target in their back

And Ange has been pretty excellent in his pressers so far creating a friendly air about him.

Spurs will do about as well this year as they did last year and Postecoglou will be given lots of credit. I don't think there will be much criticism this season.
