What's their line up likely to be then?

?

First game will tell us a lot about how Ange's rubber hits the EPL road.

Mind you, he usually has a rough start at any new club but you at least want to see evidence of his attacking style. Wouldn't be surprised to see a strong performance, and if it is... can only augur well.

Not necessarily....... Peeps need to loosen their grip on the poor bloke.

I'm not going to be sad if we lose to Brentford opening day.

This place will be a complete shit-fest come Sunday evening if we do...

Be ready for a barrage of "Kane would have scored that" from fans and media following every missed chance for the next year or so too.

They're hardly a shit team. Have given plenty of teams a tough time, it's opening day and they'll be just as up for it.

Good luck with that though...... All the above will see is "little old B'muff'.

There'd be way less pressure if we were playing Man C.

Not too many decisons to be made on starting lineup really. Does VDV go straight in, or do we go with Davies? Sarr, Hojbjerg or Lo Celso for the third midfield spot? I think he'll play Sarr tbh.

If Richy has injury/fitness doubts and not wanting to risk him, a low cost temp kane replacement will surely help kill off the Staines Massive

Id like to see SARR for sure, he deserves it but maybe Hoj is more safer bet as its first game of the season, with SARR to come on after...

VDV first game and not sure of fitness levels etc is a big big risk, but still less riskier than playing either of the "Dumb and Dumber" duo (davies or dire)

You'd imagine it'll be:

Vicario

Royal
Romero
Sanchez/Dier/Davies
Udogie

Bissouma
PEH
Maddison

Kulu
Richy
Son

Out of the 3 possibilities at LCB I'd say the lesser evil is probably....Sanchez? God knows.

Personally I'd prefer Sarr or even Skipp start ahead of PEH, but you just know he'll go with PEH. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he doesn't.

Micky and Veliz on the bench.

I appreciate the enthusiasm and (where applicable) the support, but a lot of this crap isn't doing him any favours.

......It's a LONG way to May and by and large how we arrive there is all that matters.
It isn’t meant to. When we inevitably lose a few games they’ll be out in full force telling us how right they were.

It’s so obvious.

With no Kane we have goals to replace, and it is now officially a rebuild with the lessened pressure that comes with it.

I think, or do I just hope, that Ange will start Udogie AND Porro. To make a statement to the team. We're going for this shit. We're going to dominate mid-table teams, squeeze the life out of them.

I do seem to be very alone in this thought process :ange-bored:
