Competition Carabao Cup

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If we put our B team out then we likely lose, if we go strong at home to their B side - honestly I think we win. Out of all the top sides, they are the team we usually have the most joy against for whatever reason. I never go into a City match writing it off as we have pulled off loads of results against them in the Pep era - let’s not forget, they only learned how to score at our stadium last season.

So if city play a weak team, and we still lose, this could really back fire. However, go full strength, show intent to win this contest and make the best of the home advantage, absolutely no reason why we shouldn't get this. Need to be positive, not fearful, it's a big opportunity.

It proves that this cup is not held in high regard at all among the top clubs.
I still stand by my statement that I rather end 4th and qualify for the CL than win this cup if I had to choose one over the other...
I don't think it proves anything. Pep is making some sort of public announcement for his own ends, whatever they may be knowing that the media will spend days picking over it.

I've had enough "Top 4" trophies. That doesn't mean anything.

I agree, give me a real trophy any day.

I get Man City deprioritising it this season - they’ve won 4 of the last 7 and Pep has won it 5 times. We aren’t in that boat, we’ve won it twice in the last 25 years and we’re on 33 years and counting for trophy wins not called the League cup.

And let's face it, with the depth and quality of his squad he can easily deprioritise his way all the way to the final. He might just be sticking up for Rodri after his "too many games" outburst.

I don't like the guy but he's a winner, no matter how much cheating there may have been to get there, and I don't believe for a second he entirely disregards any trophies. I don't understand why we as a fanbase always seem to look down on certain trophies like we're tired of winning them.

What is their B side? They played without De Bruyne and (mostly) without Rodri at the weekend and dominated Woolwich.
