I completely agree. I think a lot of the poor performances this season can be attributed to injury. Kane, Toby, Lamela, Davies, Dele, and Dembele have all missed time. Rose was also missing. It sucks but it is what it is.
So still being 5th is a unravel, plus wouldn't call Kane and Toby to be just any old injuries..... plus It's not even December yet.... since when did a season end in November! Still a long way to go, and I'm never happy with loosing, I fucking hate it, but I, happy with how we played in the first half, it is possible to take positives from this and still be unhappy! There was a lot on here before the game predicting we were going to loose about 6nil.......

I think a lot under estimate how much dier provided in his role for us last season, and with Toby being out not only have we lost him but we have also lost dier in midfield...
I don't recall us winning with those same players last year either...

Ok we haven't improved going by the league as above but for feck sake under the circumstances we are doing fine! If players return lamela,Toby etc plus Janssen comes good we will get back on track,again as I've said the league will get sorted in time but would like the possibility of maybe Europa league and F.A cup being taken seriously

Last year, We lost our shit after cruising the game for 60-70 minutes & got sucked into their spoiling game. You said that last year we were a good team because the tactics and the team were more than the sum of their parts? We couldn't field the same "good" team (plus Dele) due to injury & a suspension. The only thing that disappoints me about today is that the chavs didn't deserve to go in on level terms & that goal gave them a momentum going into the second half that we couldn't match. We looked tired. And a bit deflated.
Because - and no disrespect - after (yet another) year goes by without a win at the Nazi HQ I genuinely think people just want to vent spleen and sound off about their dissatisfaction in as concise and direct a way as possible.
Not list from 1-12 (in order of preference) what they think of YOUR musings... then have YOU demanding them to respond, but only if it is in a way deemed appropriate to you!

I totally can relate to your points. I have had the same experience. But when you stand back and think about it it's simply impossible to understand how we have not even fluked one win in 26 years. Not one criminal offside winner, not one dodgy penalty. Not one bounce off your arse and roll in on a corner. Well.......in the end you can't hide from it. There remains something mentally wrong with our club. We beat ourselves all too often.

Unfortunately no,I don't think this season we will challenge,just pointing out that compared to last season at this stage we are no worse off! But being realistic and wanting success the cups are our best chance!
