Management Chief Football Officer Scott Munn

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Who’d have thought that hiring a guy with not one tiny bit of experience of top flight European football to oversee all football operations wouldn’t go well?

well he worked a long time for the city group so he had to be good surely. all of man city's success was from expert running of the organization, not from outspending everyone else and shady dealings that broke tons of rules

Amazing isnt it. Levy, Cullen and Collecott been there for decades and around them is just chaos and a constant revolving door of other board members, directors of football, recruitment teams, managers and coaches from the first team to youth teams. Just no self awareness, just another round of 18 month appointments for the next 'rebuild' and on and on...
That’s Levy’s inner circle of yes men/women. They have jobs for life as long as they lick his arse. This geezer was never going to be part of that he’s dispensable. The new gooner is also a mate of Levy I think he’ll stick around as long as he tongues his boss every week.

It was business related imo. End of last season we flew players halfway cross the world to play there after a long campaign. Did read it annoyed players us doing. But business is business with this ownership.
I don’t but that we brought in Munn to do anything other than his job, sorry. Plenty of sticks to torment Levy with until he squeals but not this

Show Munn the door asap and kick him on the arse through the gate.
Apparently it took about 6 months to start the job (as he was busy elsewhere) and we've plummeted ever since.

Plenty of commentary on Australian Spurs supporters being clueless/loyal/blind fans of Ange. I can tell you just like any other Spurs person for decades, i am not much different to other loyal ones. I'm third (maybe fourth) generation Spurs and dropped big money over the years and crazy logistics to fly to games and all that goes with it. We don't all live in one place our whole life and because we're born somewhere have no connection to our Spurs ancestry or know less or more because we work or live in a place for 10 years or more etc. Greatest respect to the Spurs away fans who religiously turn up and spend their hard earned coin.

Did i back Ange in the beginning, absolutely! But then like most sane Spurs people, i've seen him way out of his depth, dragging us down with diabolical, inflexible tactics and taking us south with him.

And yes should've been flicked a while back with his staff in my opinion. Rebuilding sounds great, but with the right team in place not the one overseeing demotion and no signs of growth.

This is backward thinking. If he was that good why didn’t City move him to Manchester? He was a competent guy working in a footballing backwater. It’s been a disaster. Same goes for Lange really. Sure his algorithm can spot some good players but he was sidelined at Villa and has shown no aptitude for actually knowing what it takes to build a competitive PL team. They were both bad hires by a woefully negligent chairman.

Think you missed the sarcasm

So basically Munn will pay for Ange failure with his head. The question is then:

Was Munn deeply involved in bringing Ange and then keeping him despite obvious struggles this season? Or it was all Levy and Munn will be just used as scapegoat?

Nevertheless, i couldnt care less if he will be gone together with Ange.
Good.
Even if it is Levy throwing him under the bus, it's clear as day Ange was the wrong appointment AND should have been sacked ages ago.

Hiring the bloke Villa booted and cutting our wage bill below theirs is suicidal stuff from Levy/ENIC.

Villa did not cut Lange. Emery did. Lange is another highly respected person in the football world and helped put a lot of the structure that has made Villa Successful hence they demoted not sacked.
Nah, they literally gave him a PC in a cupboard and let him work gardening leave whilst getting in an actual guy who’s respected in the industry in Monchi. There is no real evidence he’s good at his job. Every team uses analytics now and a lot of people in football have blagged their way into jobs by being early adopters of it without all the other skills that are really needed to build successful football teams.
