Can't be the worst results in 137 years , in these seasons we were relegated to Division 2
1976–77, 1934–35, 1927–28 and 1914–15.
1977 bottom of league
1935 bottom
1928 2nd bottom
1915 bottom
Spurs supporters have suffered in other seasons and plenty of current supporters will remember 1977 , this season is not worse than 77.
Very much depends on how you define worst results, I could certainly argue you are defining league position rather than match results
1976-77 we lost 21 games in a 42 game season, adjust to 3 points for a win 45 points
1934-35 we lost 22 games in a 42 game season, adjust to 3 point for a win 40 points
1927-28 we lost 19 games in a 42 game season, adjusted to 53 points with 3 for a win (and we were only 15 points off winning league)
1914-15 was war affected season, where we were one of only 2 Southern teams in League (along with Chelsea) that finished in the bottom 2
So in those seasons 1976-77 we lost 50% of matches, 1934-35 we lost 52% of matches, 1927-28 we lost 45% of matches. This season we have lost 55% of matches.
So arguably except for the season where we were disproportionately affected by war call ups, this season has had the worst results in our history, and if you don't exclude the exceptional season, this is worst for 110 years based on games lost, and our 4th worst on a points per game basis..
And this from a club with the 9th largest revenues in the world. We are currently not the 9th biggest team in world, we are only the 6th best in our own city
